Trying to get a carload going to Carbondale this weekend. I know I would like to go and my wife might as well.
I know OSBF mentioned he might want to go. Trying to get a carload of people and figure out splitting gas or something, because I'm too broke to go it alone. Cap'n, Jay, Clenz, OSBF?

Make sure you guys have your tickets ahead of time, homecoming weekend. I'd recommend trying to enter the stadium at least 30 minutes prior to kick-off. Only two entrances and there tends to be some bottlenecks when the team/band enters.

We can't made it Rob. We ended up getting the passes from TBH's cousin for his teams hockey game in Omaha, so we are headed West.

Would love to go. I would even pay for gas and alcohol, but you didn't invite me, so fuck off and have a nice trip.

I think that right now we are looking at Terre Haute. Might be the only game we win the rest of the year as bad as we played Saturday.

That sounds depressing. I've only heard stories of Terre Haute because I've never wanted to waste my time and money. Let me know if you change your mind. Carbondale should be a blast win or lose.

If I remember right, Normal, IL isn't the prettiest site for a game either. I have been there so I should know, and Terre Haute isn't that, I live there.

Heck if I know. Like I said, that was two years ago, so SIU was still mediocre in basketball then instead of just plain awful. Would have been the year after the NIT tourny.
Regardless, the song is originally towards the Illini. We tried changing it on the spot and the drunkenness canceled out the forethought to remember all the words to change.

I was surprised you had a song about us. Makes more sense now.

Sounds like things are pretty much a go. Just a matter of who is coming with. Entirely too long of a drive for a 2pm kickoff. If we leave at 6am, we arrive between 11 and noon, Saluki fans give us free food and beer, watch game, get home at midnight...

No excitement from the Saluki fans? I'm like the second coming of Cap'n Cat.

Rob,
Post something on their site, SalukiTalk.net. Good people, a couple mouth-breathing dorm fvcks, but very good folks. They'd be glad to host you for a tailgater.

Maybe I just need to be more offensive.

Even more fun when you add two hours each way.
