Wow, who did you guys pay off. Your only have two long road trips @ JMU & Maine, and you miss UNH and URI. Nice schedule. Except this will be the first year of your new xfer. Not usually a good year for you guys.

Since when is missing URI some kind of blessing?

Try a Great West Schedule, and then we'll talk long road-trips.

Will you still be writing about FCS football next year, or will you be providing twitter posts from the Montreal Alouettes practice squad?

Poignant remarks from the fan of a school that just came off of two challenging weeks against FCS juggernauts Lehigh and Penn after losing to BCS powerhouse Temple.

Why are we on the road 2 years in a row in Harrisonburg?

Are you honestly complaining about a year of JMU fans in Newark being skipped?

What's so bad about 100 JMU kids all dressed in purple with streamers? They kinda get lost in the mix.

As others have said, what's so good about missing URI? People normally like to get sure W's and URI would be it. And no worry about the first year of a xfer - the OL returns 4 guys next year, with a load of underclassmen behind them, and we have AP for 3 more years. We might not even have to try a forward pass next year and could still win the conference.

That's crazy talk! Only JMU can do that!!
Also, I only saw the one run in the Richmond game, but I think your rsFR. QB backup is supposed to be good too, no?

Yet another scheduling quirk from the Yankee/A10/CAA revolving door of teams. I'm sure it has to do with ODU coming in. Remember when BU dropped and we had some Yankee games where it was a conference game for one team but not the other? During that time I do recall going to UMass two years in a row.

I had forgotten about that, but that was the most bizarre conference scheduling ever...

Yeah, you saw Sasek at QB - he was in when the Hens were inside the 10 and they didn't want Devlin taking snaps from under center with his wrist still in a splint/cast. Sasek looked pretty good - played the entire Duquesne game and did well. He'll be one candidate for the job next year - the Hens are redshirting a guy (Donnelly) this year who was the prime backup last year for Devlin as a true freshman, and there's a kid redshirting this year as a true freshman (Burns) who was highly recruited out of Georia. Odds are, one of those kids can play and will have the honor of playing behind a solid, senior-laden OL and handing the ball off to AP next year. Of course, if another Devlin or Flacco or other NFL early round draftee wants to come to UD I'm not sure we'd turn them away - but we'll have the luxury of turning away the Schoenhoft types, so that's good.

He's got good size and speed. He sailed a few early against Duquesne but looked fine for the final three quarters. I think Sasek will be fine next year (or Burns, a highly touted recruit from GA who he will compete with in camp) with the pieces that will be returning. I highly doubt UD will be taking a QB x-fer this offseason. I'll never say never, but I think KC has the talent to avoid that route next year.

He played the entire Duquesne game. Was very efficient when they asked him to throw, which wasn't much.
7 of 9 for 75 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT, 1 sack
