An Open Letter to TSN

Possibly to be sent in an email to them:

Dear TSN,

Your poll is nothing short of an embarrassment. The teams that are ranked despite terrible losing seasons, and the ridiculous "Others receiving votes" that show either blatant homerism or consistent typographical errors are shameful. For an official poll that carries weight in the FCS community, we as fans demand transparency in terms of the ballots submitted so that these errors can be found and corrected, since clearly those administering the poll do not care to clarify these errors.

Sincerely,

The FCS Community

Its so easy to fix it to. Just require that the voters agree to have their ballots posted. Fans will do the auditing for TSN I'm sure.

It would be interesting to see what Haley says.

I heard Ralph Wallace emailed him whining about why CSN had no vote in the poll anymore so that was one change they made but other than that not sure they have made any other changes this year. I think Craig Haley just needs to moderate it and approach those with weird votes and ask that they give a reason for why they put that team in their ballot.

At the very least, DO NOT PUBLISH ORV! Maybe then we can focus and debate on the actual Top-25.

However, the teams recieving votes is so embarssing it should cause the entire poll to be scrapped on principle. A winless Delaware State getting votes? Fordham lost to a D-II team and Bryant, yet somone gave them a vote?

This is just insane!

I can tell you that Dave Coulson was never a fan of moderating polls, but it's clear his opinion is wrong.

I would be willing to bet those votes were intended for Delaware, but a few clowns participating in the poll don't know the difference between the two. That really speaks to credibility, or lack of it.
