If there is this much heat on Pflugrad over here, he must be wishing about now that he took the Portland State job when it was offered. :nod:

FWIW, searching Google Images for a "witty" picture of pee in the butt is a VERY bad idea and doesn't give the results desired.

Wrong. His system works. It's the fact that Rich Rod came into a bare cabinet roster, and brought a system in that was completely different than what the previous coach Ran. Rich Rich is getting his players in the system now and things are looking up

Wrong. His system works. It's the fact that Rich Rod came into a bare cabinet roster, and brought a system in that was completely different than what the previous coach Ran. Rich Rich is getting his players in the system now and things are looking up
isnt michigan having a bare cupboard kinda like notre lame or montana having bare cupboards for a new coach? i dont think that is possible...even if teams like that don't win they still have great talent.

Not in this case. A lot of the cupboard graduated or decided to transfer out when the coaching change came about. Ryan Mallett at Arkansas being the prime example.

Look at what Michigan lost, especially on offense, when Rich Rod came in.

Here is the starting offense. I'll bold those that graduated/transfered/went pro early due to Carr leaving

* QB – Chad Henne – SR
* HB – Mike Hart – SR

* FB – Tim North – JR - GOT MOVED TO DEFENSE
* WR1 – Mario Manningham – JR
* WR2 – Adrian Arrington – JR

* TE – Mike Massey – JR
* RT – Steve Schilling – FR
* RG – Alex Mitchell – JR
* C – Justin Boren – FR
* LG – Adam Kraus – SR
* LT – Jake Long – SR

Oh, keep in mind we also lost Ryan Mallet after that season because he transferred to Arkansas
You tell me what team, regardless of who they are, that can lose a coach that has been there for as long as Carr was there, lose as many starters as Michigan did, put in a system that requires a COMPLETELY different set of players than the recruited players on the roster, and still win.

The starting QBs for Michigan in 2008 were Steven Threet, David Cone, and Nick Sherridan. Good luck winning with the old Michigan system with those three QB's. Threet was the best one on the roster, but a spread option QB? Hardly.

Hell, if I remember right there was ONE senior on offense in 2008 (RR first year), and just a handful of JRs.

Pretty stupid question. Wait at least a couple more games to see if there is improvement.
