When was the last time your fans rushed the field?

For App, 2007 semis against Richmond.

I was with three other guys who carried a piece of the goalposts one up the mountain to the Chancellor's House. There some students tried to create some modern art with the posts only for me to almost die when one piece fell.
That wasn't the last time the goalposts were torn down though, but it was the last time we rushed the field after a big win.
So, what's yours?

Id say at home it would be the win over Hofstra in 2004 in OT, and then the first Big South championship in 2007

For Cal Poly, it was last weekend. Because beating UM is like winning the national title for about 115 of the FCS schools in the country.

2006 Playoffs vs. James Madison.
We trailed 31-20 in the 4th quarter, but scored 2 touchdown's with under 8:00 left to win 35-31!

when your TEAM rushed the field, or when the students/crowd rushed the field?
I would think there is a difference.

Last time I was on the field was the 1991 Grey Cup in Winnipeg, Toronto with Rocket Ismail just defeated Calgary. Great day, zero degrees. Didn't get too close to owners Wayne Gretzky or John Candy.

For Delaware, the 2003 semi victory over Wofford. The police set up a wall of horsemen to try to block the student section and save the south goal post, but it was futile. They bypassed the horses, made a beeline for the north post and took it down instead.

2008 win over SAM @ SAM, for the SLC title. Yeah, the home crowd was none too pleased with us. It was great and I got a cracked rib out of it (long story)

Usually after a Southern game, fans will spend some time on the field, listening to the band and talking to the team. But the last time we rushed the field and tore down goalpost was in '93 after winning SWAC and beating Steve McNair and Alcorn. We did rush the field at FAMU in '01, that was quite fun

Part of the band rushed the field at halftime a few years ago when a guy nailed the 50(?)-yd punt to win a pickup...

Yep, especially given the way the UNIDome is set up.
Fans...never? Can someone who has been around longer than I confirm that?
Team? Well they "rush the field" after every home win. The last "real" rush though was 2007 after we beat SIU on homecoming.

That's the only one that came to mind for me too.

Former members of the UOP football team (including me) have rushed the court AND the locker room after MBB games in SoCal. That was scary the first time. (Like, are they really going to let us get away with this?) Apparently, it was all arranged before-hand....

MBT led a second half comeback that was one for the ages. If he never plays another down for Sac State it won't matter, he will always be remembered for that game.

The best Appalachian field rush never happened
In a beat down of Wake Forest the Boonies in attendance in the 4th quarter starting chanting, "Goal post! Goal post! Goal post!" from the north end zone on 'Deacon Hill'.
There were 3 security guys ... and hundreds of us - LOL
We'd rush down the hill to the left corner of the end zone, and 'Security' would tentatively move to cut us off. We'd ease on back up Deacon Hill and start chanting "Goal post!" again.
Then we'd rush over to the right corner of the end zone and 'Security' would scoot over to block our 'attack' (and we would ease on back up Deacon Hill and start chanting again). The Appalachian fans seated in the stands soon joined in the frivolity - chanting and pointing at the goal post.
This little cat and mouse game freaked them out. They called in reinforcements from the Dixie Classic Fair (a bunch of State Troopers ) but that didn't deter our fun.
By the time the clock ran out they had positioned a *Battalion* of security around their precious goal post
Oh. And there may have been a bit of drinking involved.

So a large group of rabid fans were held off by 3 security people?

They (whoever 'they' may be) probably would not have appreciated us taking down the goal posts with 5 minutes left in the game
