I'll be there - couldn't imagine missing it!!!! (sarcastic about the latter, but true about the former - feel bad I had to miss the SDSU thumping last week - darn kids and their own sports!!!).

Games like this scare the hell out of me. A team "your suppose to beat" sandwiched in between two ranked teams. Keeler needs to channel his best Knute Rochne this week.

Delaware Blue Hens football: Dukes eager to test mettle
Hens a challenge for underdog team

...

"We're looking forward to this week," said Jerry Schmitt, 28-25 in his sixth year as Duquesne coach. "I think our guys have been looking forward to it for awhile.

"It's a great opportunity to go play at a place that will be a great atmosphere, just a great college football town, against a team that has outstanding tradition, [is] nationally ranked and well-coached. We all know it'll be a great experience."

...

GO DUKES!

I'm sitting here tailgating in the gold lot next to the Devlin family and Pat just came out in civilian clothes, so I think it's safe to say he will not see action today.

Duquesne beat Dayton.

Dayton beat Robert Morris.

Robert Morris beat #14/#15 Liberty today, 30-23.

Liberty beat FBS Ball State.

A Dukes win isn't out of the relm of possibilities, but they will need a lot to go right for them and a ton to go wrong for the Hens

Pat is dressed and throwing in warmups, but Sasek and Donnelly are both throwing quite a bit too. Pat has a sleeve on his left arm with cast visible on the wrist.

I missed the first half - I'm guessing Pierce had a few yards?

No. Not at all.

30-6 at the end of the 3rd Q.

AP ended with 16 carries for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns playing two and a half quarters. Dude is a beast.

I was impressed with Duquesne's offense early in the game. Dixon (Duq #10) was giving Marcus Burley (UD #15) fits for a quarter and a half. Burley got yanked for a bit because he was getting toasted so badly.

If Duquesne had a QB with a little better arm they'd be dangerous. The receivers were open a lot in the first half. For about a quarter, the natives were getting restless in the stands and there was a bit of the "oh shit" and "might be one of those nights" going around.

Dixon probably has the best arm on the team. He was a QB at Michigan State and played QB his first year at Duquesne. He threw for almost 2000 yards and 20 TDs in 2008.

Pierce is a friggin STUD!! Granted his OL opened up highway lanes many times tonight, but he gets some yds all by himself.

I was impressed with Dixon as a WR, he could play pro IMO.

IMHO, OL is proving the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. They are working together very well. AP has all the tools and his afterburners are deadly. The other pleasant surprise is the will of this defense. They did give up some chunks but they did not break. I don't care who you're playing; 3 fg & zero TD's in 3 games shows a lot of heart.

Great defense wins games. Duquesne held to 6 points after putting up 35 on the Flyers last weekend.... Both Dayton and Delaware scored over 30 points on the Dukes. I did not see the game or even read about it, but holding the Dukes to 6 points looks pretty impressive to me.

Keep in mind that Dayton scored 31 in a wire to wire horse race. Without Pat Devlin, Delaware scored 30 by five minutes into the third quarter to go up 30-6 and then put in the subs and set the cruise control after that.

Has anyone in CAA history ever gone 11 for 11 for the rookie of the week award? ;)
