They're like the bastard stepchild nobody wants.

SUU might get the nod as a full member later to balance up the league..I wouldn't right them off yet.

This is GREAT news and I'm happy to finally see this happening.

The battle between SUU and UND. Who gets left out this time? This is almost as good as the NDSU and UNC battle.

Please god let us write them off. I'd almost rather have Central Washington move up into that 12th spot. They already have better support and success

I read something on egriz about this guy who read something on AGS about a SUU fan saying he heard rumors that the Big Sky contacted SUU and asked if they were interested in joining the Sky IF the sky expanded. Well the Sky is expanding and Im sure SUU would take that invitation in a heartbeat.

Agree, but I thought NDSU made a lot of sense back when they wanted in the conference.

If SUU isn't added, I read it like this, Sac St. is going to the WAC and they wanted to make sure they still have a CA footprint. It would be 8/10. If they added SUU and Sac St. bailed then 9/11 is a bad setup. I guess Portland St. or Montana could also fit the 1 leaving scenario 8/10. Still it sounds like it's to stay in CA with Sac leaving.


Of course if SUU gets an invite in a couple of days then 10/12 or a couple of schools going to the WAC would be the mindset.

So assuming we invite SUU and do divisions with 8 conference games. Who the hell do we play OOC now?

D2 and/or FBS games are now a mortal lock virtually every year

You can play the OTHER teams not on the schedule...same as we do now.

Is that even allowed? That would offer an unfair advantage in the conference standings. If you're implying that we would do a 10 game conference schedule we're down to 5-6 home games a year instead of 6-7

I'm pretty sure you can't play conference mates for non conference games.

Yes!!!!!!!!!! Finally! Welcome Cal-Poly and UC-Davis. Great move by the BSC.

Great move for CPSLO, UC-D and the Big Sky. Makes all three stronger. Now just need a home for SUU, UND and USD... SUU really should also get the invite, while UND and USD go to the MVFC. That would make three super conferences for 2012.

I believe it IS allowed, those games just don't count as "conference" games.
