It's offically Wabbit Season!

After dusting off the shotgun and blasting apart some Rams, the Hens are taking aim with both barrels at the Jackrabbits. It’s going to be a wild game late lunch served up at Chez Tub!

In additional to the traditional Wabbit Stew offering, here are some of the other September 11th menu specials:

Walters and Co. are looking to pick apart some wobbly ducks served by Chef O’Brien

UD’s slider loving defensive linemen and linebackers will chow down on some Minnet-ture sammiches

The Fourth quarter special will be a tenderized McKnight’s Out rabbit patty served with a side of julienned Ragin’ Kage’un fries

On the other side of the menu, it is pheasant season in South Dakota, and honoring that will be the UD wide receivers feasting on some sting-necked Kjerstad with a dollop of Coreyander and white wine reduction sauce

The Hens offensive lineman will devour some Jackrabbit DL’s with a fresh Dijohn creamed sauce

UD’s running backs are looking to Pierce the delicate skin of the Jackrabbits and go right for their heart – it is recommend that you not let the kids watch this bloody serving

Devlin is looking to bookcase the entire Jackrabbit meal starting out by whipping up a light and airy tossed DB salad spread over a field of green and then finishing with flambeed rabbit flake pudding

The afternoon’s drink pairing is a fine Stiegelmeister Ale, a distinctively hoppy beer that goes well with game, but after an initial flavor burst it gets a little bitter at the end.

Bon appetite!

So do the hens like to toss salad often? Is this something I should warn my fellow Jackrabbits about? And is this just a UD thing or a CAA thing? Just wondering how nervous I should be should I drop something by a UD alum.

I first heard about a "tossed salad" when I watched one of the prison documentaries on HBO several years ago. Sometime later, I was out to dinner with my parents and my mom ordered a tossed salad and I chuckled, shortly followed by my wife kicking me under the table, and my mom looking at me bewildered.

Totally awkward moment. I didn't explain it, for obvious reasons, and we've since noticed that my mom orders a tossed salad every time we go out to dinner. We know it's coming, so my wife and I sort of give each other a quick glance, look away, and brace for the inevitable.

The art of a subtle hijack is completely lost on you.

Since we already hijacked, should we continue with a discussion of dingleberries or start a new thread for that?

Whatever you want. I'll defer to you on this one.

We've strayed too far here.

South Dakota: Thirty times the size but one thirtieth the relevance of Delaware.

Most people really don't give a shit about either state, if you're being honest...but if I had to choose a state to destroy, it would be South Dakota. Followed closely by Ohio.

I will reference waynes world in my comeback to that. The scene where they have the green screen and it shows deleware. "Uh, hi, Im in delaware." Meanwhile we have Mount Rushmore, the Badlands, the Black Hills, as well as Crazy Horse. Oh, and our smaller population is due to us killing off insufferable douchebags, leading to a wonderfully friendly and nice area to visit. Meanwhile you put up with douches and assholes, leading to a sour, angry outlook on life. :kisswink:

Is there anything Delaware is relevant in? I mean anything exciting that people would travel to see? 8-)

Just throwin' this out there....but in my eyes, anyone who kills someone for being an insufferable douchebag is probably an insufferable douchebag as well. So in a sense you're saying that the entire state of South Dakota is full of insufferable douchebags. Dead insufferable douchebags, but insufferable douchebags nonetheless. Just sayin'...I could be wrongly interpreting your statement here.

You mean like beaches? In case you don't know, that is where the ocean meets the land. If you still aren't sure what an ocean is; just find a globe, the ocean is the blue part that covers most of it. :D

Other than beaches, I got nothing, except BlueHen football. :thumb:

The Badlands? You brag on The Badlands? You do know there's a reason it's called The Badlands, right?

Hell, I'm a big fan of Steinbeck. The man could make the Great Depression sound romantic, but he couldn't GTF out of South Dakota soon enough in Travels With Charley. IIRC, the best part about it was the sun going down because it added some color to an otherwise dreary, desolate wasteland and then he didn't have to look at the place anymore.

Don't forget the hot, Amish babes here in Kent County. :thumb:

Sometimes the Amish will hitch a van ride down to the beach and you get to see some ankle.

Amish ankle? Oh my, that would be something to see! Ohhhhhh and the ocean is wonderful I suppose, and I now know that Delaware is the only place on earth to witness it! My god what have I been thinking going to spring break anywhere else! And thank you very much but you can pretend to yourself that its a wasteland but it really is something to see. I'm originally from nothern WI and am all about hills and trees, but there is definate beauty out there :kisswink:

Free beer (or three) on Saturday for any Delaware fan that can name the capital of South Dakota without looking it up.

Hint: It's not Sioux Falls or Montpelier.
