UPDATE Saturday 11:50 PM ET: The sections that have games completed have been updated. Remaining sections will be updated as scores go final.


This is the official score thread for week 1 of the season. Much like last year I will post the final scores late Saturday night for all the weeks games. I have put together the score frame for week 1 and will post it now and I will update it Thursday night after the games and again after that for Saturday's games.

This year I will list ranked teams and each team receiving votes. listing the ranked team first and then the opponent next to them. For non ranked teams or those not receiving votes in the prior weeks poll I will list them home team first and road team beside them. I will also have the non ranked teams listed alphabetically based on the home team (Note: I didnt sort them yet, but I will for the Thursday night update)

I will also highlight winning teams in green like last year, but I will use a weaker green this time. The posts will also include updated W-L records.

As always if you have any suggestions to make these better I am all ears.

How the cr@p is the Manure Pile ranked in this poll (albeit rather low) and the Hornets (who have defeated them two years in a row and are demonstrably better than last year) are NOT ranked at all?!?

thats what I get for marking bye teams as wins and going through fast pasting the 1-0 record it is updated now though :p

All updated for Today. Two games tomorrow, neither should have any effects on poll voting so happy voting for anyone who votes elsewhere.

5 teams in the top 25 broke 50. (2 very close to breaking 50) I love high scoring games

wow week 5? that almost takes the fun out of polls. the season is already half way over.

waiting til everyones played a few games allows for a more accurate poll.

i understand that i really do. i just "personally" think a poll starting after week 2 would be more fun. i'm just not patient is all

I too would rather have the poll all season, but I understand the reasoning behind waiting. But hey You can still make a poll and post it for this week... especially if you want to put UNH in the top 5 :D

if you made that demand after the 1st quarter today I woulda laughed in your face.... amazing though what the other 3 quarters can do for a ranking

ya i no what you mean. i couldn't even have fun that 1st quarter i was just kinda there shaking my head in disappointment. but as the announcers said "liberty woke up from there nap" haha. i believe tyler brennan took most the snaps the 2nd half of the game with a lot of 3rd strings in and we still continued to put points on the board. I think after Ball St and JMU especially we'll see how good Liberty really is.

Thanks for putting the effort and time into this, Travis. It looks really good and makes it easy for those of us who are lazy to see who won and lost quickly.
