In 2005, Chase Reynolds was a celebrated running back on a three-time 8-man state championship football team who was unsure of what the future held for him.
Carroll College had called often, and the Montana Grizzlies were in the picture, but Reynolds was unsure who he would play for and where.
"I just don't know for what, and how interested they are," he said back then. "If I played for the Grizzlies, I think I'd want to play defense. I don't know if I've got the ability to run the football at that level."
That was the question: Could Reynolds and his other-worldly stats - he's the only Montana prep to run for 5,216 career rushing yards, on an 80-yard field - make the transition to the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision?
The answer is a resounding yes, and here's why:\
