We have rarely had any pre-season coverage from the Austin area stations or newspaper but this year we are getting more than we ever had during the pre-season (or season...period). The main reason is that we now have TXST alums doing sports for these channels and they are making sure we get some love.

John Hygh moved from News8 to the local Fox station and he has stated we will get our share of coverage (although I am sure the powers that be at that staion will make sure 98% of the college stuff is UT)

Anyway, here's some reports from the past 2 weeks, along with the link to another newspaper article. The newspaper guy is the same one that did the commentary on the Billboard thing. He is actually a TXST(SWT) alum, but a UT homer.

I hate to be the one that has to tel ya this but... Texas State sux. That PRIDE video looked like a gay pride video for the first 15 seconds. sheeesh!

And as for EWU - you should have built a real stadium, first, before you added a blood red carpet to put in it in.

I would be fine if they take say another three and a half weeks to clear it up. You know right after the Mustangs roll out of town.

Bush is not playing Saturday. Coach won't say why but I would bet it's the academics waiting to be cleared. He (Bush) was at practice today (Tuesday) so I guess they're still waiting to hear from the NCAA.

BUSH HAS BEEN CLEARED TO PLAY

Stadium Expansion Announcement today. It's kind of ambiguous on the start date but it's after this football season. It will take up to 18 months to complete. They hope to have the new visitor's locker room done, at least, for next season...and the addition of a bookstore in the NEZ is new news.
