76, I see you're on one of your kicks again. This was posted as a comment below a Richmond Times Dispatch article this morning...

Hopefully this will not be a long year for Richmond. Having lost 15 five year players and a rookie head coach could mean a difficult time for the Spiders. Patience will be needed if the Spiders falter. Even if UR was to go winless (0-11) they will not face the possibility of dropping the program which almost happened after the 0-11 season of 1979! Having just built the on campus stadium has a great influence on the program. As for how will UR do this year? I'm thinking 6-5. Games I would delight in UR victories would be UVA, JMU and W&M!

Penhouseclosedend, you say I am on one of my "kicks" again. Perhaps, however, depending on whether you were around in 1979 and were at that time old enough to realize it, the University of Richmond came dangerously close to dropping football!

Had it not been for the infusion of several million $ by C. Robins, the program would have died! Second, while most of my posts are on the "darkside" I predict that UR will have a winning season! I am not totally "doom & gloom"!
