Sounds like they want the end of football season to be more of a vacation than an actual competition.
"It extends the season to 14 or 15 games for the championship teams, and maybe more. That's way too many games, and another six weeks or two months of playing. That's too hard on us."
"The whole bowl experience is great. It's just like bowl camp, a good time to bond with the guys after a long season. Then when you go to the bowl destination, it's even better. I'm not sure with a playoff system you have that."
What's wrong with these kids?

I'm guessing this player isn't projected to go too high in the draft next off-season.

One SEC voter who previously wanted a 32-team playoff chooses the current system here: "How many fans are actually going to travel to these road playoff games? I'd like to see a playoff, but we're not going to get that without answering a lot of tough questions."
I think this is surprising coming from an SEC player. Aren't they suppose to have the most rabid fan bases? Plus if it is truly followed like the FCS format, the schools will play at their home field. I have a feeling fans will show up for those games.

Another MAC player: "I'd take the bowl trips. They're a treat for us and awesome for our fans and our school. Everyone should have that experience in their college careers."
This guy obviously hasn't seen the tab a school receives for sending its team, coaches, and anyone else to a non-BCS bowl.

Does whoever said this realize that our season is over before the bowl season even begins (although that's about to change...)

Most of them are nothing more than athletic frat boys who are in it for the pussy, not the competition.
