I was looking around the GSU message board and the question popped up there. The general consensus there was yes, except for the hillbillies and the vermin

The question has probably been ask here before but why not again.

For me the answer would be yes, most of the time. There are times when Furman has been rated in the top ten along with another conference member so I wouldn't have necessarily been supportive of their out of conference efforts. But most of the time I certainly would.

So what about it? Do you cheer for your conference rivals when they are playing a team from another conference?

Yes. Especially when they are playing an FBS.

Generally, I would pull for a CAA team in an OOC match...

When it involves UNH, I sometimes gag as I do it...

Not really. Coattails riding is not my thing

I root for all FCS teams vs FBS though


Actually, I will be rooting for Montana State this year since they should be really good. This state would go nuts if both teams made a run on the championship

Yes, if only to be able to rub 89Hen's nose in OOC strength of schedule later.

For the most part, yes, unless it will have a direct impact on JMU's position come playoff selection time. But I generally enjoy seeing CAA dominate on a fairly consistent basis.

Only if it helps my team (the Fightin Blue Hens), and at playoff time.

Yes, b/c I want Liberty's in-conference wins to mean something.

I used to because all OOC wins for the NEC were vital to a playoff bid and ranking.

That will probably change a little now with the NEC AQ.

True, but I think the only thing that's going to get that question off the table is a playoff win.

More often than not, I will root for a conference team over an outside team, but it is not a given...
