They finaly got rid of these horrid uniforms


Now we have these ones. Going with the all black with Purple helmets look.


Now our home uni's match our road uni's pattern.



And in my opinion, I think they look pretty good.

Definitely an improvement.

Nice change of pace but I think black helmuts would do it better. Have to admit the old ones had way too much pruple.

I think Black helmets would be better to. and yes thier last home uni's had too much purple.

Why do we have so many purple teams in I-AA?

Purple uniforms are so gay!

I like them Looks a bit like the Horned Toads which I also like. As long as you guys don't start throwing streamers you'll be fine.

Like the new uni's, but absolutely hate the font used for the numbers.

Personally I'd rather have the purple uni's. I'm probably the only one not all for the new black uni's. Having lame school colors is hard to get used to but its your school. Our color is purple though not black. I'd wear Montana's old colors proudly just the same if thats where I went to school. Or Idaho State's orange.

I guess we could always just pull a BYU and just change our colors to be the same as Utah State so merchandise will sell better.

Why the f did WSU pick purple anyway? Back then we had 4 schools, byu blue, usu dark blue, utah red. We had a lot of options.

I also wonder why there are so many purple FCS teams LOL!

also it was sad we got new road uniforms in 2008 but couldn't get the matching home uni til 2010???? LOL

The old ones really weren't bad. Just a little plain. They were probably the best ones we had had that I can ever remember. Getting rid of the white helmet 2 yrs ago was also a good move.


I hope we have the Snow Bowl for Montana this year!

The helmet is still the same as the last 2 years.

I agree that all purple uniforms is too much. However, I'm not really a fan of the all black look when the helmet is Purple. UNI tried that look last year, and auctioned the uniforms off after the game, as a way to raise money, and I hated it.


Purple is a very common color because it used to symbolize power and wealth. Schools liked the associations that came with it. It wasn't until the last 15-20 years, or so, that Purple took on a whole different meaning.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. A picture of tailgating and not one beer is present?!?! EPIC FAIL!

there isn't anywhere to buy beer in the state of utah. the other downside is that we have the lowest alcohol related auto deaths in the nation per capita. even lower than wyoming and no one lives there. don't ask what state is the highest.

I think a Purple helmet, with purple jerseys and black pants would look better, but they look better than the old ones so im not complaining, cant wait to see the wave of black come rolling out of the tunnel in our first home game vs UNC

BYU origionaly looked like this with the light baby blue colors.


Then they changed to a darker blue and added a tanish color to thier uni's to help with marketing


Then they went back to the old style but with the dark blue instead

Whats wrong with purple? I think the combination of Purple, White and Black is sharp. Weber and UVU are the only 2 major universities in the state that dont have either blue or red as thier colors

ya that is weird that of our seven 4-yr schools all are either dark blue or red except weber (purple) and uvu (green/yellow). i guess at least its not orange or brown/yellow.
