Are there any teams or conferences that your school has an unexpectedly good record against?

Example:
William & Mary is 2-1 vs. current teams in the Big 12:
Oklahoma 1-1
Oklahoma State 1-0

The Tribe is 2-1 vs. Arkansas. Both victories were shutouts in Little Rock; the loss was a neutral-site bowl game by two points.

(Full disclosure: All of the above were between 1942 and 1951.)

Towson College sucks.

2-0 against Oregon St. in the current 1AA/FCS setup. I don't know that it was overly unexpected but maybe a little.

Albany is 1-0 against Central Florida (1980) and 7-4 against Buffalo (last meeting 28-20 win in 1988)


And for good measure - 2-1 against Towson.

App is 1-0 against....aah never mind.

FCS schools Delaware has had success against:

(not so successful - 2-2 vs Georgia Southern, 0-1 vs Appy, and 0-2 vs Furman)

Kent State: 1-0
Navy: 7-8

Most significant IMO. 6 of the MVFC wins were in the playoffs (including D2 vs YSU). 2 of the Colgate wins were the last game of the season for an undefeated Red Raiders team.

UD has had the MVC conference's number for quite awhile...

YSU - 6-1
WIU - 1-0
Indiana St 1-0

total..12-1 vs the MVC...

Seriously, i'm not even sure how to get information for San Francisco State. Even the definitive College Football Data Warehouse doesn't have much information on SFSU...

But in the 1950's and early 60's we went conan on everybody, that's all i know for sure...

EWU has won 7 straight against MSU. And 25-8 all-time against the Cats.

6-1 all-time against UNC.

I think we're 6-0 against UNI

Old Dominion lost at Miami 6-2........................in 1932.....................when we were the Norfolk Division of William & Mary.

Tough place to play there at The War, I bet they would be willing to play UM every year, at The War. Idaho State, on the otherhand, has a win at Wyo, back in the '70s
