AGS Ban- Hilarious

Okay guys I'm done with AGS. Looks like the new owner, a friend of mine, won't stop the mods and Texas Terror from acting like jerks to others. I got a ban for harassing Texas Terror and I did not even do anything. TT was being sarcastic and a smart ass to me so I figured since he has a sense of humor I would post a funny signature where I posted a link to his bio on the New Orleans website and only said "this is the texas TERROR?" Well, anyway I guess he only has a sense of humor when he is the one doing the picking. I firmly believe TT has admin rights. I got two private messages about suspensions but they have banned me for a month and I can't even read what they said to me or change my signature back. How funny is that? They could at least allow me to read my own private messages. I know what I did was a little immature but I was just giving TT a taste of his own medicine so he could see how it feels and apparently he took his admin rights very seriously and decided to ban me.

You won't have any of those problems here.

Did Ralph get control of that God awful site again? CS is 100000x better than AGS.

Agree, that ain't good. I know they want to keep it clean over there but if they have TT involved in ANY capacity then it was a bad move. He is a Ralph clone that likes to keep shit going and can't take it when it's dished back to him.
SCFF, that was a bit outside the lines of what they are trying to do over there. I just volley back anything that is lobbed from someone else first and haven't had a problem yet.

SSFBF, Fuck'em. Who cares. We all love you, well some (URSUS) more than others, here and look forward to each and every one of your posts. It is their loss...Enough is enough. If they cannot be remotely normal, screw them.

Man, you can't a secret very well. No more tea party talk with you.

Well the other day when we were out at lunch you spent the whole time talking about SCFBF. I didn't think it was a secret. Sorry for outing ya.....well not really

Thanks guys!
I appreciate the kind words. The problem is that TT is a moderator, from what I was told. Also, the new owner at AGS is still allowing Ralph and TT to do what they want apparently or at least not stopping them from jabbing at folks and then using whatever rights they have to keep others from doing it to them.
From what I have been told Ralph is really struggling. His health has been bad but lately his finances are very bad. From a personal standpoint I don't wish that on anyone but from the business side I feel like a lot of it is just karma coming back at him.
I have been posting at both sites holding back a lot here because I was going to bring a lot of info to the blog here at the start of August. I really like just about everyone one with SE aka Ralph and Texas Terror aka Jason Plotkin being the only two folks I have had problems with and really can't stand.
For those of you would have not seen TT here is a link to his bio, a picture, and his contact information.
http://www.unoprivateers.com/ViewArticl ... ID=1275354" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I have seen folks like him before who aren't very big or strong and probably even shy in person but hide behind a computer and talk a big game. I guess I can't try to make things better at AGS anymore, regardless of who the owner is, and let him have that website by himself. One day he is going to be posting all alone over there, just like he comments on his and Ralph's blogs all alone, and wonder what happened.

Can someone please explain how guys like him gain ability to do stuff like this...?
In addition to his UNO responsibilities, Plotkin serves on the voting panel for the Sports Network Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Top 25 poll, in addition to voting responsibilities for the annual Walter Payton, Buck Buchanan and Eddie Robinson awards.

I sent you a PM on AGS before I found out you got banned but you do realize that its not good form to go posting someone's personal information even if you do have a problem with them. Also, TT is NOT a moderator on AGS, but has been a regular news contributor since the board started. I along with many others have talked to him about "poking the bear" with a number of other users or fanbases and he has graciously done what he has been told (thus giving no reason for any harsher sanction) but that does not give you the right to post personal contact information about them in a public forum. With my computer issues the last few weeks (due to being homeless) I havent been as vigilant as I was initially but I am doing my best to keep an eye on TT and everyone else. I love you brother but there are certain things that shouldnt be done regardless of how you feel about somebody. I mean I have my issues with citdog (and they are well documented on here and AGS) but I would never go to the point of posting his contact information and he hasnt done the same for me. If TT posted your personal or work contact information in his signature (which has since been removed) Id be giving him a two week vacation too

HOLIER-THAN-THOU flamesfan, you might not want to come off all high and mighty. Who the fuck cares. TT has made his bed and you politely asking him to do this or that, I highly doubt he even read what you asked him to do, he went along and said I will not do this or that. Be a big boy and if you dish out some shit you had better have thick enough skin to take some back. TT and Ralph do not have thick skin, as you seem to also be in that category.

All the cool kids play in this sandbox now... that AGS sandbox ain't nothing more than cat litter.
When they couldn't pay their bills a while back they lost me... I love how high and mighty they were yet they can't even fork out a web hosting fee, which is probably less than $100/month. That's just hilarious. Screw 'em...

Screw AGS and it's whipping boys like TT.

I posted news stories with links and they deleted them and put them up and credited themselves with it. Talk about childish!

I came over to AGS and even though its more of a liberal board than what i'd prefer, it's an open site that allows its posters to speak their mind.

CS all the way with me!

Agreed. There's absolutely no reason to even be on AGS. I had I think close to 3k posts in less than 3 yrs, but left last yr and will never go back.

I simply was explaining things from my perspective (limited as it may be). I try to go from both sides of any situation and am a fairly straight shooter when it comes to most matters. I will admit I went overboard early on because I was acclimating to the responsibility Ive been given over there but I am not one to just sit back and let the old way of doing things continue. Now I havent had much opportunity to deal with anything of late but my goal is to make sure the rules are followed. Im not one of those "wink wink nudge nudge, hey we're friends so you can overlook this right?" sort of people but I also dont want to be some Draconian legalist either

I am moving this to the smack forum, where these threads belong.
BJ - note that SCFBFAN did not post anything that TT previously had posted himself on AGS. Jason did that several years ago to establish his "credentials"

with all due respect and I do mean with all due respect, I call BS on that TT stuff. I've witnessed him asking for threads to be closed because people don't have links or are speculating. But he needs 9 threads full of speculation about the Legacy Bowl. Anybody that opposes him has a problem yet he gets off scott free. Once I saw him up to his old **** I refused to post there, he takes a great site and ***** it up the ***.

Glad to have you back over here (for good), SCFBF. Your insight and ties to the NFL is a valued commodity that I'm sure everyone really appreciates having around. I certainly do.
The Houston, Texas native came to UNO after working as the athletic director at the Jewish Community Center of New Orleans, where he oversaw youth and adult sports programming, as well as the NOJCC.com web site for the non-profit center.
Why am I not surprised?

that wasnt me who did that...that was one of the admins. I wrote to SCFBF (not knowing someone else had already given him a ban and I wrote him basically saying what I said on here...that its not cool to just post someone's personal information even if you dont like them or have a problem with what they are doing and to chill out. I wrote this to TT after I first got word of what has been happening between the two of them:
well I already had a word with him about it. You two need to back off each other. I know that youre a pretty well known poster around these parts but I will shoot both ways so just take it easy and give him some space for a few days and if he keeps goin after you I will give him a few points. Do be mindful that just because youre a pretty regular news contributor doesnt mean I wont give points to you if the need arises. SO give him some space
Of course I didnt find out til after I sent my message to SCFBF that he has been banned and that frankly upset me because Id been trying to work things out between him and TT and get TT to fly straight even though he is pretty well known over there. Since someone above me banned him (and didnt do it through the infraction page) I cant reverse it as much as Id like to

AGS has been put in a precarious situation. If I were trying to bring it back then the first mandate I would have is that nobody gets banned without being talked to first in a calm manner...explaining why what they did can not be done.
No strikes, no bans until a dialogue (as you said you have given TT that benefit already) has established. But if it was you that layed the ban on SCFF then I think I would seriously be taking your ability to ban people away from you.
I would bet that SCFF would have seen the error in his ways in what he did without escalating the situation to a higher level. I have had interaction with you personally on the fact that you escalate things due to your thin skinned nature on some subjects.
If it is you doing this then I think you need to get better at it cuz you may be doing a lot more harm than good over there.
I get it, SCFF posted someone's personal information...that ain't cool at all, but it could have been handled so much better and with less drama than this.

Hey, I wish I had seen this before posted it cuz it looks like you are handling things in a proper fashion. Sorry for not understanding what you were saying in the first post.
Good job for the way you were trying to do things.

I didnt ban SCFF. one of the admins did. I generally try not to ban people (citdog's case being the one exception but you already talked to me about that one Ursus). I try to talk to both parties and get the context of the situation and then let them both know where I stand on the matter and to give each other space and let cooler heads prevail and then if either tries to escalate is when I act. Now some of the other guys over there may act differently than I do and what they do I only have so much control over. Ive had issues with TT and other people before and so he already is on my list of people to watch out for. I gave Ralph a little online justice and he was one of the mods at one point and probably the most regular poster on there before the changeover.
