Montana State has only chance in the Big Sky to get an FBS win this year and they did it against Colorado beating the Buffs 19-10 in 2006.. This is the same kind of situation. Wazzu has been so bad lately.
Go Bobcats

Yeah but the Bobcats have a lot of trouble beating Paul Wulff coached teams. Then again, maybe it's just EWU.
I do hope they pull it off though. I hope he's still there in 2012 when EWU gets to play them too.
September 11th—Montana State at Washington State
Things in Pullman have never looked so bad as they do now. Under head coach Paul Wulff, they have been beaten by a combined 723 points over the last two years, and many are predicting a zero for in conference play.
Most fans are hoping they can find a way to beat the Bobcats of Montana State in their home opener. But, the Bobcats are a FCS power this year and return 17 starters from a team that some are taking to knock in state rival Montana from their Big Sky throne.
Montana State wins if
They show up? Yes, as much as I hate to say it, Wazzu has questions at QB, defense, and pretty much every spot on the field. The Bobcats defense should win the game as they were the Big Sky's best in yards allowed last season and they return nine of those starters

Those writeups must have been awhile ago...
The Eagles win if
They get a strong defensive outing from their front seven, led by All conference standout J.C. Sherritt. They will also need for whoever QBs the game (either Bo Levi Mitchell, an SMU transfer, or Greg Panelli a JUCO transfer) to not make that big mistake that costs them the game.
Panelli will be redshirting, as Bo is definitely the starter.

I call BS on that. Nevada is certainly possible... albeit unlikely. I don't think they're too much better than CU from 2008 when we almost and should've beaten them. Nevada's D is pretty bad, but then again Burton is now at PSU so maybe whoever they picked up to replace him will improve that. One thing is for certain, we will put up points on the Pack. Just a matter of how many we give up... they're good at putting up points. Real good.

Without Jay Hackett, the Kitties have NO chance.
Unless they move Erik Rush to the football team, anyway....

FCS > FBS
morally, anyway. That's got to count for something! If an FBS team is falling to an FCS, that's as good a pick as any...
Cal Davis wants to beat Cal Berkeley in the worst way, though, and I want that to happen so badly it is making me a bit insane thinking about the game. INSANE. It has to happen.
Probably they'll lose and then go and beat San Jose State which, paradoxically, i 'DONT' want to happen. So.
oh yeah i want Masoli to go play at Sac State and beat Stanford. That could happen, right?! -I of course mean in the sense that there exists the possibility that it could happen]

Have you met SuperHornet? I think you two would really hit it off.

It is just that you and They have some of the same styles in writing.

I shouldn't have said MSU was the only team with a chance at a win. EWU has a chance to beat Nevada but EWU would have a better chance against Wazzu. My money would also go for Nevada against Wazzu.

I'm sorry, there's no way either MSU or EWU win their respective games. Nevada is actually a decent team and as bad as Wazzu has been of late, the Cats are just not good enough to pull off this win.
I could be wrong, though.

Thats right...Silly me. Was it UC Davis after that???? Was it a shutout?
Sorry for derailing the thread.
MmmHmm, and yup. Then they went on to get a playoff bid, and beat Furman, I believe, in the first round?

I wouldn't be surprised if the Kittens beat Wazzu. I also wouldn't be surprised if they turned around and lost to Drake the next week. Remember Chadron St.?

Ash is going to sandbag the Drake game as his way of giving back to his former school.

Rob Ash is 6-0 in out of conference games against D2 and FCS teams. Some have been closer than wanted but still wins. He is 0-4 against FBS schools, though.
Coach Kramer seems to have been able to get his teams jacked up for important games and let his teams fall asleep for the supposedly easy ones. Ironically, he is now a football operations assistant at ....... Washington State.

MSU - 17
WSU - 35

Bobcats should beat WSU. That team is so broken in the head. MSU should still have a tough defense and it sounds like they finally have the QB figured out. QB was the missing piece to their team.
