This may be of interest to some of the Delaware fans here that aren't on the Blue Hen Club email list. The Blue Hen Club has teamed with Boathouse Sports to put out some UD gear with proceeds going to the UD Athletic Fund.
Code for discount is: UDAF10

I think I'm going to pick up one of the Gore-Tex jackets and put a bright gold '93 on the sleeve.
If you're a wise ass that wants to comment about how anything related to UDAF is extortion and how anyone who buys anything from this site is a lemming or a shill, please spare us. Go beat your wife or kick your dog or whatever else helps complete your miserable existence and leave the rest of us out of it.

Anyone buying an overpriced Gore-Tex product is a lemming or a shill giving in to extorsion....uh, wait.
Never mind...carry on.

Interesting that you can't get a Facet jacket that says "Football" or "Golf" on it. What gives?

Really? I didn't get that far yet. If so, that's surely a showstopper for me.

Jesus H. Christ.
Oh well. Forget it.
How dumb is that?

Geez, those jackets are expensive. Do they come with a happy ending?

$249 for customized Gore-Tex and NCAA license is a deal actually.

What marketing genius would decide to offer "Rowing", but not "Football" or "Golf".
I wish the offered a little color variety, also.

You can get it on the golf jacket, but not the mac daddy.

Agreed. They should last you a long time. I still have a GT jacket I got from the old GT outlet store on Main Street in 1989.

So what if your name just happens to be FOOTBALL?

My ONLY guess is maybe the football team actually wears these exact ones and they think they'll have security issues with people posing as football players/coaches? Dunno.

See post #2.
I enjoyed going to the Gore store in Newark...great stuff, except they were always WAY overpriced. I only shopped if things were on clearance...can't stand overpaying for anything simply because of a name. Their close out sale was fantastic...picked up a TON of gear %75 off.
The store closed and the inventory has moved back to one of the Gore properties...a store vailable only for employees. Thankfully, one of my neighbors works there and can still get us stuff at the employee rate.

They must have gotten a few inquiries about that, as Golf and Football are now available.
I'm going to pick up a Football Gore-Tex. I missed out on the old-school UD Gore-Tex jackets you see on some of the graybeards and bluehairs in Section C, and I want to be ready for the rain this year. It seemed like it rained during tailgate hours of the majority of our home games last year.

$249 + $1 will allow you the honor of purchasing 2-season tickets in Section D or K. Hmmmm, jacket or seats ... jacket or seats. Sorry UDAF, there is a bottom to my pocket. But that's another subject; it is a nice jacket.
