We've been going against WSU and Idaho, and won all but one I believe.
We did it again. WSU was the host with Idaho, EWU competeing in another 7 on 7 tournament. EWU won again. Now I know there are a few on here that don't think that's important, but come on, that's two in a row for the 'good guys'. From what I'm told. it wasn't even close. We obviously have some really good skill players on this team, which bodes well for us come fall.

Only stat I know Bo Levi 7 TD's no int's.
7 TD's no int's is a good day.

From what I understand there is no question about the outcome either. Apparently our guys thought they were up by a couple of scores, but WSU said it was tied, and the next score wins it.

Our guys said okay, scored, and went home.

Sweet.

I don't know if it was done this year, but in years past we'd 7 on 7 with LSU. I do know they held a 7 on 7 tournament for high schools at Southern this year.

YSU tied Akron in a 7 on 7 yesterday. Each team scored 6 touchdown's. YSU was never stopped on offense, but apparently Akron was never stopped either:

And three years in a row. Skill positions are not our problem.

We had a rematch with UT tonight. I was able to go. We lost so we are 1-1 with them, this year.
I won't get into all of it but I did come away with good vibes about our D. Yeah, we lost 7-3 but we played 2 true and 2 RS Freshman on D for most of the game. Our experienced players traded out the other positions the rest of the time, except Drenard Williams.

Some of our fans think there is no leadership on this team but I saw it tonight. Dre Williams is taking that role, front and center. When one of the youngsters made a mistake, Dre took time to take them aside and go over stuff with them. And, he is fully recovered from his surgery. The kid is pretty damned good and UT avoided throwing anything in his direction.
I got to meet some of the players. Dre Williams came over to me and introduced himself, then grabbed one of the recruits and introduced me.

Hawkins is doing better than some may think and when camp starts I think they will be surprised.
I was a bit taken aback by AA WR D. Griggs. He's not a very big guy.
He looks scrawny but he has the speed, power and skills. He put some moves on UT and burned them on back to back passes, resulting in a TD (35/25)
RS Freshman WR Cody Matthews will make noise this year.

Here are some observations about UT
They are a bunch of spoiled arrogant assholes who are less emotionally mature than our guys. They kept trying to start shit, over nothing, and our guys walked away from it. The UT guys really wanted somethiong negative to happen.
UT has FRESHMAN! :thumb: They made that clear several times during the night. My friend and I could have told you that one. Seriously, all teams have freshman...every year too! This doesn't come off well in writing. It's one of those things you had to be there for. Ya know what...even we have them
The 'so called' ref tonight was some real homeboy. I think I knew more about football than him  . The best thing that happened in the UT circus tonight was when one of our receivers caught a pass, that bounced off the top of his shoe (he touched it with his hands, it fell, hit his shoe and came back...never touched the ground and his hands were under it the whole time) and back up, and then ran for a TD. He (the ref, one of 2) called it a no catch. Our guys complained (and so did I.I was 5 feet from the receiver, the guy was about 20 yds away), and one of our other receivers was really pissed. So this guy goes over to him and tried to start something, getting in his face. Our receiver had about 4 inches and 30 lbs on him. Real smart.

Oh, and they wouldn't let us take pictures. It's a fucking scrimmage guys! The UT players didn't want pictures taken....jerks :ohno:

Sorry about the length of the post but my opinions are not taken as rational or informed, on BCF.

At least in 7 on 7 you don’t have to worry about them adding time to the clock ;)
