I understand that new DL Coach Shawn Howe left GW when he was offered an opportunity at UT under new coach Dooley. We were also in the market for a new OL coach with the departure of Coach Doolittle. While I am hearing that we have new guys to fill these slots, I can't find any official release. Anyone got any news they can share?

Former G-W player Kris King is your new OL coach.

I try to follow Ian Cooper whom I believe is/was your receivers coach last year. Cooper is a fellow Rocky Mountain College alum, although he was at Rocky many years after I was. Tom Hauck, linebackers coach at Montana last year, coached many years at Rocky before he joined his nephew, Bobby Hauck, with the Griz.

At small schools, you are considered family, no matter when you went there. I sure it is similar at GW.

Coach Cooper is still at GW and he is a good one.

I like the fact we get a coach from the west coast. Nothing wrong with expanding the horizons a bit, although I would like to know what brought him to Boiling Springs.....from LA to Boiling Springs, he has got to be going through a bit of culture shock.;)

It does make you wonder what his motivation was to take this job. Marc's article could have given us a little insight as to why he wanted to come here. I doubt it was the cuisine at the Bulldog Quik-Snak that turned the corner for him.

Coach Godinez appears to have been quite the headhunter in his college days. I wonder if he will show this highlight reel to his boys to get them pumped up.

Mt. SAC is a junior college as was his previous coaching stop. One would assume that he views going to a 4-year school as a step up professionally.
