NCCU has full membership, whileas Savannah State has provisional membership. Both will be elegible for MEAC championships beginning in 2011.

Now all the MEAC need is a divisional split (North/South), and either a 14th member, or contract to 12 members (Help get UMES football up and running and convince Coppin State that the CIAA would be a better option for them.) Then we can truly be an all-sports conference. :thumb: :thumb:

The question is, will both play a full MEAC schedule next year? I can't find any info on that.

The three counties of Delaware can have the entire eastern shore - minus Ocean City.

I really hope this gets SSU on the right track. It should cut down their expenses compared to being an independent, and give their students something substantive to play for. But I'm also interested as to when do they start playing a MEAC football schedule? As well as a MEAC schedule in the other sports.

To clarify. I do realize that SSU has to go through the MEAC probationary period and get the 3 goals satisfied. But do they have to do that before they play a MEAC schedule at all? Or will they be able to play a MEAC schedule but just not be eligible for conference championships (and thus NCAA automatic bids)?
