Well, that does tend to happen every other year!89Hen wrote:Only two road games in conference for Delaware.
- wow, that used to be an end of year rivalry game. There's a tradition that's now torn asunder!T-Dog wrote:CAA games that won't happen in 2011
JMU vs Towson
- too bad, MJ could've regaled the W&M folks about when W&M chickened out of a game because of some blown down branches.T-Dog wrote:W&M vs Maine

Agreed. This could be a good schedule for easing in a non-transfer QB.GannonFan wrote:Well, that does tend to happen every other year!89Hen wrote:Only two road games in conference for Delaware.

Gotta like it for Delaware, though. Three of the 5 games are against the weaker members in the conference (ODU at start-up, Towson, and URI) and 2 of those games are part of the road schedule. No UNH and no JMU and the Maine trip is still when the weather isn't terrible (Oct 1 - it gets bad up there the week after). Plus UMass comes to Newark again so we get to see the CAA's best band yet again. UD also gets a late open week as they aren't playing Nov 5. Not bad at all.
I think there was an implied joke at Nova's expense there.ChickenMan wrote:89Hen wrote:Only two road games in conference for Delaware.
I see three... @ URI.. @ Towson.. @ Nova
Yes, there is much humor intended in 89's post.ChickenMan wrote:89Hen wrote:Only two road games in conference for Delaware.
I see 4 ... @ Maine.. @ URI.. @ Towson.. @ Nova
And playing Navy to open the year isn't terrible either - gives them the whole summer to get ready for the triple option. I think DSU is lined up for Sept 10, so that's another easy one there. Do we know the 3rd OOC team at home on Sept 17? Is Duquesne up again?93henfan wrote:Agreed. This could be a good schedule for easing in a non-transfer QB.GannonFan wrote:

One last game vs WCU(PA), no? Or is it a 12 game year?GannonFan wrote:

Since when are game at Towson and Nova road games?ChickenMan wrote:89Hen wrote:Only two road games in conference for Delaware.

Yup - my bad - forgot. Was just hoping it ends sooner (although it ceased being competitive a good 15 years ago or so). 2011 isn't a 12 game year.93henfan wrote:One last game vs WCU(PA), no? Or is it a 12 game year?GannonFan wrote:

Payback for Mickey running his mouth incessantly.LastMinuteman wrote:They sure do like sending JMU north for the late November games.

Not sure what you're getting at, but they have played the 'North' teams (Maine, Umass, Northeastern, Rhode Island, Hofstra, UNH ) just once in the past 5 years in the month of November. But if you are referring to teams that are farther north than JMU, then they have still only played 5 teams in the 'north' in the past 5 years in the month of November.mainejeff wrote: Payback for Mickey running his mouth incessantly.
The schedule link si in a story on the CAA website.bluehenbillk wrote:2 questions...nmnathletics, is this really a credible source?? I went on their site, just call me skeptical.
Second, man UD gets cut a schedule break if this is right, no JMU or UNH and they get to play TU, ODU & URI. 2 years in a row the schedule gods smile on us.

Once in 2009 (UMass)
Once in 2008 (Tobson)
Once in 2007 (Delaware)
Twice in 2006 (Villanova, Torwson)
None in 2005
No need to mention 2004.
Once a year...you're right, it's a conspiracy against Matthews for talking!!!mainejeff wrote:Nov.20, 2010 - at Mainebandl wrote:

No other CAA South team is playing in New England in November for 3 straight years.bandl wrote:Once a year...you're right, it's a conspiracy against Matthews for talking!!!mainejeff wrote:

You're not getting it, Geoff. I agree with you. The CAA is out to get JMU, and in particular, Matthews. He talks, and he should go to hell for that.mainejeff wrote:No other CAA South team is playing in New England in November for 3 straight years.bandl wrote:

Don't you wish Cosgrove would talk? Maybe Maine could actually win a few more games.
