FBS Conference Realignment -- Here We Go

Nebraska to the Big 10 .... Colorado to PAC 10 .... Boise State to MWC and the fun has just begun. The Western conferences will all be aggressive as this unfolds. Texas controls what the PAC 10 will do and one more WAC defection may spell change in Montana's future. It's going to be an interesting summer.

No, it won't.....because the WAC as we know it won't exist!

The WAC still has 8 teams. For all of Fresno State's and Nevada's talk, the MWC does not want them, because they do not help with their goal of automatic BCS bid. Who else will take them?
That said, I suspect that we will soon hear that North Texas and Montana are joining the WAC, as I think the WAC can't take the chance on loosing anybody else.
If Denver adds football, where would they go (stay in Sun Belt or Big Sky or WAC)?

I think Big Sky or WAC.

I was thinking WAC as a real possibility for a Denver team with football.

Denver has no desire for football

Re Denver: If they add football, they will likely have to go to the GWFC or go the indy route to start because they would be required to spend two years at the FCS level. (I highly doubt the Sky would take a start-up.) After that, all bets are off.

They make take 1 of us and Houston or both if they feel that 12-16 is what it will take in the future. All 3 of us have good records and would help the bottom half of the MWC not look so bad. I don't think the Big 5 left overs are going west. They'll merge w/BE fb or pluck members from CUSA and where ever else.
UNT turned down the WAC once, I don't know why they'd want us now. I don't think the WAC is dead even if they lose 2 schools since there are 3 schools in Texas(UTSA, Texas St., Lamar) who would join the MAC if invited, ready to jump at any invite from any conference. Plus you could try and convince any of the CA 3 or Portland St., Montana, Montana St.
Denver, not starting football
SH, got something right. Denver would have to be FCS for at least 2 years.
I'm glad you came over here to post again Mike
PS to the FCS peeps. Mike is my D-II yoda, I ask and if he doesn't know the answer he'll find it.
