High School: He was a two-time all-state selection at tight end at Moreau Catholic High School...as a senior he had 56 catches for 798 yards and five touchdowns...he led the Bay Area in tackles as a senior with 65, including 10 stops for losses, and he also had four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries...named All-East Bay and All-Bay Area as a senior...his high school football coach was Anthony Pontes...earned three letters in football and two in both basketball and baseball...team captain in football...team MVP in football as a junior and senior.
