Montana home and home's?

I know, another Montana move up thread, SORT OF. I hate them as much as the next guy but this one could be fun and informative.

For the sake of 25 pages of arguments lets say Montana moves up in 2013. What will happen to the previous home and home contracts? Will a FBS team actually travel to a FCS team because of said contract or with the contract become null and void due to the new rules for Montana being in the FBS?

If Montana is unable to travel to a FCS team due to the fact that the new conference doesn't allow it, will the backlash of Montana not showing up for the agreement of the Home and Home tarnish the legacy of Montana?

Nah. I don't think that's possible. Montana is the flagship of the FCS. Even if they move up, they'll still be the flagship of the FCS.

I would assume Montana would either buy out the return, or offer a payday to have the FCS school return to Missoula

And that is EXACTLY the problem I was asking about. Way to turn a question into a statement. :thumb:

Montana's doesn't return home and homes, they would do what they always do, buy the game out. This thread is irrelevant :coffee:

The buyout for the McNeese/Montana/Appalachian 6-game series is $250,000 per game. :o

Montana @ Appalachian, September 1, 2012
Appalachian @ Montana, TBA 2013
Appalachian @ McNeese, August 20, 2014
McNeese @ Appalachian, Sept 5, 2015
Montana @ McNeese, Sept 3, 2016
McNeese @ Montana, Sept 2, 2017

The visiting team gets $100,000 each game.

I'd also like to point out how smart App was in all this. The only two years in there that will have an extra week for a 12-game schedule are 2013 and 2014 so App can still get 6 home games each year with an FBS game.

There had better be loads and loads of jokes in that statement.

Oh yes, you have no idea how many I see being pulled out of that one.
