Why Indiana State Will Always Suck Ass

As long as the academic people and athletic department are going in different directions.............
Girl from Normal IL went to InSU to play soccer. Being a local kid, played on an IHSA state championship team, was recruited by IlSU, but decided for whatever reason that Terre Haute was the place for her. As a freshmen was starting, playing well, scoring goals. Needed this one particular class for her major that is only offered in the fall semester, and only one section. Problem is that the class conflicted with soccer practice.
No problem right? Happens all the time with college student athletes, there are ways to work this out. She talked to the soccer coach and either the professor/department head/her accademic advisor and got no-where. Finally was told she had to choose between soccer and the class she had to have for her major.
Until they get the athletic dept and the academic people working together.......................
I 100% guarantee this would never happen at ISU. They would happily arrange alternate practices or use a tutor to provide alternate classroom arrangements.
What a joke INS is.
