Let's talk about each FCS selection in this thread. Ducasse is falling because of the lack of tackle run in the second round.

Jets pick up Ducasse in a steal at 61 overall. Jets are having a great draft and getting great value for their picks, and keep loading up for that SB run this season. Congrats to Vlad!

Round 2, 61 overall- NY Jets- OT Vlad Ducasse- Likely a future starter at RG or RT. I like this pick. He was the best small school prospect on my board. I thought he might go higher so this is good value I think.

Watch for Youngstown State WR Donald Jones in the late rounds tomorrow. His combine performance, where he was #1 in bench press and vertical jump among WR, likely pushed him from a free agent to a draft pick.

Ducasse, Roberts and Edwards from little old FCS before the first player from big old Ohio State is taken...

Nice......

No shock there. Good fit too. Roberts is a heck of a person and player. I had him as a mid 3rd to late 4th round value. Solid value there.

I had him coming off the board to them at 112 but when they traded up no shock they took him. Glad to see him go there. That pick will sell tickets for them as well. I hope it works out for him. He will likely play WR though with Clausen there too. It would be great to see him beat out Clausen and be the backup this year though! :)

Reaction among Card fans is mixed

Those that have seen Roberts like him. Some have typical Big School bias (ironic from fans of a team that had Kurt Warner lead them to a Super Bowl).

I think that in a few years those doubters will be converts. Andre is a special kid and he's got an amazing work ethic. In a way, I am a little sorry that Arizona took him because several people I was emailing with (inclusing the ASU people in the family) think that the Panthers were going to take him, but then once he was gone they snapped up Armanti. I am really glad for Armanti though.. he can play near home, and the ASU fans can continue to follow him. Chances are, Armanti and Andre will be doing some of the same duties for their respective teams.

Ironically, the Cardinals will be playing out of town on the weekend The Citadel plays U of Arizona this fall. That would have been great to catch the Dogs on Saturday and then the Cards on Sunday.

All in all, I think the FCS players that went in the first 3 rounds are going to add a lot ot the league. Great kids, good character. You can't help but like them all.
