He's 27 years old, 6'6" 220, and he's a pocket passer. The Steelers need him on their practice squad. However, he's going for a Masters degree, and I'm not even sure he wants to play in the NFL. But check out these stats: Texas State's career leader in passing yards (9,556) touchdowns (76) completions (753), attempts (1,277), total offense (9,798) and pass efficiency (136.0). 136! He may not be better than a career backup, but I think he's worth giving up a 6th or 7th round pick for, considering the Steelers have 10 picks this year. Maybe pick him up as an undrafted signee?
The objective in the last two or three rounds is to find players who can contribute, either on the practice squad or maybe on game day, compete, fill a role, and be good team mates who work hard and elevate those around them. It's great when they exceed expectations.

. Whatever, it was good to see Shann and Mariani get drafted. Not really shocked that the Titans took Mariani with the Fisher connection (which probably helped Pfhaler too). And you've gotta wonder if Biermann's performance in Atlanta influenced them in taking Schillinger.I didn't really expect it to be the Seahawks, but one can dream. I did like the selection of Tate in the 2nd round though. And I pray to God they jettison Julius Jones now that they've got RBs coming out their rear end.
