Players from JMU likely to be drafted:

- Scotty McGee
- Dorian Brooks
- Arthur Moats

We will revisit this thread after the 2010 draft happens but would like to see who will have the most from FCS.

It's likely that zero Grizzlies will get their names called. Levi Horn probably has the best shot of being a late round pick (Mr. Irrelevant, perhaps?).

Marc Mariani is going to make some team (Seahawks, please be the Seahawks) very happy as an undrafted free agent.

Might be cool to post round and possibly team projections for shits and giggles to see how close we were or were not.

As for EWU:
Matt Nichols - 5th - Chargers
I think Nichols is a lock to get drafted, but anything can happen. I've heard the Chargers really like him. They need another QB after trading Whitehurst to Seattle. Nichols went to HS in Cali.

Nathan Overbay - PFA - No Clue

Aaron Boyce - PFA - No Clue

Please be Rams, Niners or Cards so I can still root against him! All kidding aside, I hope he gets his shot and does well at the next level. Don't think it will be with the Hawks... we just signed two WRs in addition to what we already have (Housh, Branch, and Butler)

I don't think any will get drafted but I think we may have one or two sign on as free agents

The Saints have taken a couple looks at FB Tommy Fraser

I'll let you guess who.

We might have a couple of free agent signings.

We have two that may be signed priority free agents or sneek into the 7th round if they are lucky.

Dane Fletcher DE - probably be signed as a 3-4 OLB
Jeff Hansen - All American guard that may get picked up as a center/guard prospect

Real long shot that I don't expect........ we'll have to see what happens.
11. Bradley George, Texas State QB. Why am I listing a QB whose name is not Tebow? Because this guy is an athlete, and spent 5 years with the Reds... the baseball Reds. He's 27 years old, 6'6" 220, and he's a pocket passer. The Steelers need him on their practice squad. However, he's going for a Masters degree, and I'm not even sure he wants to play in the NFL. But check out these stats: Texas State's career leader in passing yards (9,556) touchdowns (76) completions (753), attempts (1,277), total offense (9,798) and pass efficiency (136.0). 136! He may not be better than a career backup, but I think he's worth giving up a 6th or 7th round pick for, considering the Steelers have 10 picks this year. Maybe pick him up as an undrafted signee?

The objective in the last two or three rounds is to find players who can contribute, either on the practice squad or maybe on game day, compete, fill a role, and be good team mates who work hard and elevate those around them. It's great when they exceed expectations.
Mind you, this is just some guys' opinions. Grain of salt.

Seems more like a guy who ends up at Indy catching passes from Manning and have a nice 5-7 year career...

Nichols got hosed. The only upside is now he'll have somewhat of a choice where he goes, as long as he gets more than one offer, which means he can still go to the Seahawks.

Congrats to Schillinger, Mariani and Toone! Kind of cool to have a BSC player be Mr. Irrelevant.

Also very fitting that it was a Weber player. :coffee:

WEBER STATE 2010 NFL DRAFT

Weber State's Tim Toone was picked by Detroit at 255th - 48th in tround 7 and last man in the 2010 draft.

DB Josh Morris is apparently getting contract offers. I think Philly had the last highest bid.

Ha! This is why I don't work for ESPN or SI :thumb: . Whatever, it was good to see Shann and Mariani get drafted. Not really shocked that the Titans took Mariani with the Fisher connection (which probably helped Pfhaler too). And you've gotta wonder if Biermann's performance in Atlanta influenced them in taking Schillinger.

I didn't really expect it to be the Seahawks, but one can dream. I did like the selection of Tate in the 2nd round though. And I pray to God they jettison Julius Jones now that they've got RBs coming out their rear end. I'm not really sure if any of the RBs they now have are THE guy, but I'm pretty sure Jones ISN'T the guy.

Totally agree. LenDale's size and running style will be the perfect complement to the quick and shiftiness of Forsett and Washington
