Nine of the league’s 30 non-conference tilts will feature opponents from the Bowl Subdivision classification, including four teams which participated in bowl games last season --
Villanova/Temple (Sept. 3)
James Madison/Virginia Tech (Sept. 11)
New Hampshire/Pittsburgh (Sept. 11)
William and Mary/North Carolina (Oct. 30)

Massachusetts will travel to the Big House to face Michigan (Sept. 18). CAA Football enjoyed unprecedented success against schools from the Bowl Subdivision in 2009 when it recorded four victories over the higher level foes, making it the only FCS conference to log wins over the FBS out of the 90 contests played between the two divisions.

Their schedule against FBS is much less favorable this year.

Nova should beat Temple... the rest of those games aren't going to happen.

URI stands a chance against Buffalo
Nova stands a chance against Temple
Richmond has a shot against UVA

Don't think any other schools stand a snow balls chance in hell to win.

Richmond with their losses isn't likely to pull the upset. This isn't going to be the UR from the last 3 years.

Most people thought the same about Appy vs Michigan.

2010 UNH isn't 2007 App State. :coffee:

so 4 and a half months before the season starts we can already tell what a team is? Please tell me who the Champ will be so I can get my bet in now.

In April 2004 99.9% of the people on here would never think UNH would go to Georgia Southern in the playoffs and win. No one knows what a team will be in April...well unless we're talking about Indiana State.

No, but we did know they would come to Montana and get waxed like a high school gym floor. ;)

I would like to say that ISUb might surprise some people this year and pull out more than one win. The MVFC I think will be much better overall next year.

.... and UVA ain't the same UVA they used to be, check recent history. They've been on a steady decline and have a new coach. London should have the advantage over his old team though, I still think UR has a shot over a weak UVA.

Now now we cant take a joke? No need to rub it in that we havent had a winning season in forever you jerk :thumb:  . I dont know about URI taking out Buffalo since they have been pretty decent the past couple of seasons. I really only think the only CAA team with a shot this year is Nova against Temple. :twocents:

Hey guy, just shooting one over your bow for not contributing anything to the thread besides a: :whocares:

Nova definitely has the best shot, agreed. Turner Gill had been turning around the Buffalo program, but for as much talk as they get, I've yet to see them actually produce. Remember, Temple is in the same division and had a better season last year. Plus, Gill is gone now and Buffalo has a new head coach... think he can keep the momentum going?

I just don't understand all this non-CAA hate for the preeminent conference in FCS football. :kisswink:

If you knew at the beginning of the season that everyone in your conference was playing for second place, you'd hate too. 8-)

It would be easier to simply have a sentence all typed up saying "I don't like Towson's chances against " and then just insert the opponent. Imagine the typing you could save yourself!
