Sad Schedule

I've been attending UD games for many years and there is no doubt that this years' HOME schedule is the most unattractive that I have seen..

West Chester..
South Dakota St.. :D
Duquesne..
Maine.. :|
URI..
Towson..
Villanova.. :D

thankfully UD didn't drop the South Dakota St game this year or there would have been just one attractive opponent on the 2010 home schedule.

Kind'a hard not to make the playoffs with that schedule. Interesting question though.

Let's say for sake of argument UD goes 7 - 4 with one of those W's coming against WCU. Do they still get into the expanded field with only 6 D1 Wins??? Let's further assume, UD win all of their NC games, and goes 4-4 in conference.

Their away games are
@ UR
@ JMU
@ W&M
@ UMass

What do you think??? Do they make the playoffs??

If they lose 4 of 5 to UR, JMU, W&M, UMass & Villanova I don't see how they possibly get into the playoffs.

Playoffs.. PLAYOFFS... are you kidding me.. PLAYOFF???

Seriously.. the way the past two years have gone UD has been a long way from the playoffs.. if they can't win at leat eight games this season.. there won't be any playoffs in 2010.

By the way....about 95% of FCS teams would lose 4 of 5 to those 5. :coffee:

Maybe UD's schedule will loosen up the wife a bit, and help pave the way for a move to Missoula for ya', huh?!!?

Its very possible, the teams i see UD possibly losing to at home are South Dakota State, Villanova and Maine as those three programs usually field decent teams. :twocents:

 WCUPA, Duquesne, URI and Towson are cupcakes I tell ya.

BTW, as bad as this may seem, that's two playoff teams including the defending National Champ that returns just about everyone. There's not much the Hens can do about the conference slate. WCUPA is on the way out and why would you want a hard home slate with games @ #2, #4, #16 and #25? WTF?

What's really sad is that I just got my season ticket renewal package yesterday. To enjoy this stellar slate, I get to fork over for my three tickets:

$472 for tickets
$165 for parking
$100 minimum donation for right to park

$737 total, or $35 per person per game.

I was telling 89 a bit earlier that I am getting closer and closer to buying a family 4-pack in the NEZ for $230. I think I'll wait until the reseating-by-donation level specifics are announced for 2011 and see how that pans out before deciding. I really like my current seats.

Nothing wrong with that schedule except West Chester.
