Looks like UNC finally got their schedule together. Looks pretty rough with only 5 home games and not a single bye week. Same as us if there are alot of injuries they will be in trouble. However besides that its a good schedule in terms of OCC as they have a D2, FBS and a good FCS opponent in South Dakota
-Sept. 4 vs. Adams St.
-Sept. 11 @ Weber State *
-Sept. 18 vs. Idaho State *
-Sept. 25 @ Michigan State
-Oct. 2 vs. Montana *
"Homecoming"
-Oct. 9 @ Sacramento State *
Oct. 16 vs. Eastern Washington *
"Family & Friends Weekend"
-Oct. 23 at Montana State *
-Oct. 30 @ South Dakota
-Nov. 6 vs. Northern Arizona *
"Senior Day"
-Nov. 13 @ Portland State *

It's common to alternate 6-game and 5-game home schedules. What whomps is a schedule like UOP's last one which saw FOUR home games and five games REALLY hard games, including four against what would today be called B(C)$ teams (Fresneck, AZ, NE, OR, and OR State). The two redeeming things about that schedule were beating OR State in Stockton and San Jose State on the road on the last play of the game.
This schedule doesn't exactly thrill me, but it doesn't repulse me, either. I do have questions about the D-II game and the timing of it. (If there's a D-II game at all, it should be in Week 2, after a minor FBS game, IMO.) But the one thing I question loud and long is a HUGE mistake that I think Sac made a few years ago. Who the heck had the cr@zy idea to schedule MONTANA for freaking HOMECOMING? You schedule a patsy for homecoming. Heck, that would be a GREAT place to put a creampuff D-II, particularly coming on the heels of MI State.
Other than that, like I said, it's a schedule. About average, except for placing the best team in the conference in the homecoming role.

Scheduling Montana for Homecoming is not a bad idea because the turnout should be really good. However, scheduling Michigan State right before playing Montana is plain stupid. MSU lost 2-3 starters that game when they played them last year.
Finding money games is hard anyways but it will make it a very tough stretch for the team.

I think the D2 game is in a good spot because they will be playing a weaker opponent while trying to break in a new QB since Wagner graduated. Also it will help the team gain some confidence and work out some of the kinks they may be having

Based on that schedule I could see a 5-6 record for the Bears in 2010.

-Sept. 11 @ Weber State L
-Sept. 18 vs. Idaho State W
-Sept. 25 @ Michigan State L
-Oct. 2 vs. Montana L
-Oct. 9 @ Sacramento State W
-Oct. 16 vs. Eastern Washington L
-Oct. 23 at Montana State L
-Oct. 30 @ South Dakota W
-Nov. 6 vs. Northern Arizona L
-Nov. 13 @ Portland State W

If you think UNC is going to win at Sacred City, you have another think coming, Eagle.

From what I've seen of Hornet Football, it's a lot easier to beat them in Suckramento than at home. Hell, EWU is undefeated down there!

We haven't lost to UNC since they joined the BSC...no idea if we even played them before then so I am willing to say we have never lost to UNC...

And that almost came to end last year, even after Sac having a 30-0 lead.

It was 31-0..and almost only counts in…
Yeah something needs to be done about the defensive play calling. Rumors are someone else is taking over that duty but we'll have to wait and see. The Hornets went into basically a prevent for the entire 2nd half. It ALMOST cost us the game.

I was very surprised watching that game on bigskytv.org or whatever its called now. Even when Northern Colorado got close it looked like your offensive play calling was just as bad as your defense was in the first half

That's pretty much what I was thinking. 5-6 wins. I saw we might win against NAU though. I don't like the game against Montana right after Michigan St. We will be pretty banged up after the Spartan game. We moved Homecoming up to the 2nd of Oct. Last year we had a snow storm against PSU and hardly anyone showed up.
