North Dakota State head coach Craig Bohl suspended starting defensive end Garrett Johnson and backup defensive tackle Greg Reid for a violation of team rules. Bohl would not elaborate saying “that’s as far as I can go.”

Johnson, a junior, was second on the team in quarterback sacks last year with 5.5 and third in tackles for lost yardage with 7.5. He finished eighth in tackles with 32. He played in all 11 games as a freshman in 2008 registering 21 tackles and 2.5 quarterback sacks.

Neither Reid nor Johnson were at NDSU’s first spring football practice on Saturday. Reid, a freshman, redshirted last fall.

Wow. That was a quick start. Hope we don't have these issues this year.

8-) No big whup. Probably back mid-spring drills. If not for the fall.
Get your news hounds on the case and get the straight dope.
Either way, NDSU rebounds from last season and is a challenger again methinks.

Doubtful, might see Reid back but my guess is both are Out!
