Help us bring back the Tiger Spirit and enjoy the company of other Towson football alumni, family and friends with a day fi lled with fun and excitement!

9:30 a.m. Flag football game for football alumni on the lower practice field

9:30 a.m. A football clinic hosted by the Towson Football Staff for kids

10:30 a.m. Black and Gold Tailgate*
In Lot 20, cost is $20.00 per person, $10.00 for kids (6-12), kids 5 and under Free.
*There will be games, prizes and give-a-ways

12:30 p.m. Spring football game kick-off featuring inflatable games, Pepsi sampling, and Dress Like a Tiger at Johnny Unitas® Stadium

Coach Ambrose appears to be doing some really good things with the Tigers. I hope the Admins give him some time to build the program up, because he'll need it in the CAA (especially in the South when the CAA returns to divisional play, assuming of course, that Towson doesn't get moved to the North). The CAA is an absolutely brutal league to rebuild a program in.

Towson the top CAA team in a few years? I agree in a few years Towson will likely continue to improve and could possibly achieve a .500 record in the CAA, with an outside at a winning record in the CAA and making the playoffs, but winning the CAA in a few years coming out of the CAA South? You guys been smoking anything over at the TU Quarterback Club?

They could very well end up in the North in the very near future. Towson winning the CAA North isn't really that far fetched of an idea.

And he didn't say they would be "the top CAA team" or even "win the CAA"...he just said they'll be top of the CAA...which could easily mean top half of the conference.

"Give us a few years and we will be top of the CAA!" I took it to mean the top team in the CAA. Even one of the top 3-4 teams (of which will be 12 teams again) will be a stretch.

Umm... we did. I was one of the folks who thought TU would rise to the top of the CAA after a few years. This is year 7.

I don't see that happening. It would make zero sense geographically, and would make the North-South imbalance even worse, almost comical. A little OT here, but this is what I see come 2012 when Ga State starts CAA play and makes it 12 teams again:

North:
Maine
URI
UNH
UMass
Nova
UD

South:
Towson
JMU
UR
W&M
ODU
GA State

Geographic wise and competitive balance wise that makes the most sense, and it keeps the UD-Nova rivalry intact.

Yeah, I agree IF that happens. But that's 2 IFs that have to happen. I think that BOTH of those happening within the next 2-3 years is well less than 50-50. We'll see.

Well, obviously we still have only one sane TU fan on here.

Ed is a cool cat. He and his wife go to EVERY game, home and away. I've got nothing on him. A Towson thread almost to page two without me? BRILLIANT!
