Delaware secedes from the union....

March 4, 2010 Newark, Delaware;
In a surprising move today the state of Delaware seceded from the union. Saying they just could not take it anymore and citing a couple examples the Delaware spokesperson, who goes by the nickname 89Hen, spoke at today's pressconference. 89Hen, after choking up a few times, regained his composure and told the large crown of 8, "First it was the sportsbetting debacle and now they took the NC game from the center of the FCS universe". It is way too much for us Hen fans to take. We had to make a statement and draw a line in the sand, Montana had sports betting but, as usual, they let the Griz off easy and are coming down hard on the Hen nation and now have caved to the pressure from the western FCS and moved the game to Frisco, TX where schools like Montana will only have to fly 6 hours instead of 8 - 10. Where is the justice? When asked about Delaware State and their feelings about the secession, 89Hen asked.."Who" and then stated, "We are leaving and taking our peeing wall with us".

In a recent interview Joe Biden said it was his idea.

Delaware State's Supreme Leader, also known as DSUrocks, is expected to prepare to release a statement to announce a future press conference to discuss this unexpected turn of events. Recent moves along its defensive line suggests that he was preparing for a future series of annual conflicts with 89Hen's forces within the next two to three years.

Good luck and I wish you guys well!
But really, I can't get to choked up about losing a state that isn't even big enough to display it's own name within its boarders on a map! My goodness, there are ranches in Eastern Montana bigger than some of those states!

Definitely Class "C" size ways anyway. R.I. maybe 6 man if it can pull from one of the others.
HEY UNITED NATIONS! New Rule!
You have to be large enough to contain your own name if you're going to become an independent country!!!
Failure to comply may be grounds for you to be "Gizo'd" by the established Nations of the world!

Al Gore invented secessions, but even that was Biden's idea.

In a related move, Delaware, in an effort to increase the size of its land mass, has decided to dam up 95% of the Delaware River and send the rest through the C&D canal into the Chesapeake Bay. The Delaware Bay will disappear as the river dwindles to the size of a large creek, but Cape Henelopen's beach and the Delaware River shore line (not to be confused with the New Jersey shores and their river beach lines) will be extended by several miles.
In response, the Army Corps of Engineers insisted that they will still dig a 45 foot trench even if the river below the canal is only 30 feet wide.
Delaware State University, realizing that no one called Hitler's bluff, declared that having the world's largest and best prepared Air Force base nearby will allow their football team to dominate the passing game against the Hens. When questioned about that statement, the DSU Board of Trustees quickly disappeared into the back room and began talking loudly amongst themselves about the need to have everyone stop questioning their statements.

Didn't CitDog make a pit stop in Delaware on his way up to the Princeton game this year?

What do you have, 20 people per county?

Expensive ranches too.
Federal Taxes $ spent to $ collected.
Montana $1.47
Delaware $0.77
You guys are big, but damn expensive to have around.

Hey maybe that seceding idea deserves some thought.

I would think you could fit Rhode Island and Delaware into Garfield County.

With room for another Rhode Island and still have a few hundred sq miles left.
And there are six counties in Montana bigger than Garfield

We're expensive mostly because we have to try to fix all those pot holes so you visitors don't wreck you RV's in the summer!
Besides, where would you all be without Montana Black Angus beef!

Perdue Chicken is heathier and MT doesn't even make the top 10 in beef production. So obviously we'd survive just fine. But hey, your buffalo is good.

Ah, yes, Garfield County. Reminds me of a saying I heard when I worked on one of them cattle ranches...
"Send me to Hell, because I've already been to Jordan".

But the question is, would you rather go to HELL or live in Lame Deer for 20 years?

Around here we refer to Jordan as "The Big Empty"!
