Tracy and Lane not among the top performers in those 3 categories.

46 OLs listed and the top 10 in 6 of the 7 categories. Only 2 from I-AA, Dorian Brooks, OG for JMU and Vladimir Ducasse, OT, Umass.

The only other I-AA guy shown at the combine I see is Scott Ravanesi, punter, SIU.

Didn't see any I-AA guys among the RBs, TEs, LBs, CBs, or safeties.

Maybe I missed one or 2, but out of 340 or whatever it is at the combine, I would have thought there would be more than 11 from I-AA.

Somebody at Saluki Talk reported that Ravenesi was the 4th rated punter at the combine so far.

I wish all these guys good luck in the draft but I can only look at the numbers and wonder what teams would be saying about Dane Fletcher had he been invited. He's spent the last 8 weeks at St. Vincent Sports Performance Center in Indianapolis and gained 13 pounds of muscle and lost two pounds of body fat, which puts him at 248 pounds. He ran a 4.62 and had 27 reps in the bench. He thinks his 40 will be in the 4.5s and reps in the 30s when MSU has their pro days in a couple weeks.

Got to remember that are 2 different 40 times, handheld and electronic. '

Was reported that Moats "unofficial" 40 times at the combine were 4.57 and 4.63 but his official is listed as a 4.66. Not sure how that works?

Arthur Moats, a 6-foot-0, 246-pound defensive end from James Madison University, also did 24 reps in the bench press. He's an intriguing prospect that showed a lot of promise last season in Harrisonburg. After leading JMU with 90 tackles and 11 sacks (one off the school record), and leading all of the Football Championship Subdivision with 23 tackles for loss, he earned the Buck Buchanan Award. It's an award given to the nation's top FCS defensive player. Before coming to the combine, he worked out with Ato Boldon, a native of Trinidad & Tobago who won a total of three bronze medals and a silver medal as a 100 and 200-meter sprinter, respectively, in the 1996 and 2000 Olympics.

Last week McShay wrote this about Moats in his Small School Prospects to Watch:

"4. James Madison OLB Arthur Moats: He is listed at just 6 feet, but Moats' thick build and unusually long arms for his frame will play to his favor during measurements. Look for his explosiveness and ability to hold up in space during position drills to ease concerns about his ability to transition from college defensive end to NFL outside linebacker."

Despite him not being very tall, Moats benefits from having long arms for his frame. NFL likes that.

Kind of ironic when JMU is about to have a DE drafted, they just had one cut by the Redskins, JD Skolnitsky, who was on the Redskins practice squad last season (and would have been playing on the JMU DL with Moats if he hadn't been suspended for his senior senior).

Welcome Leomartin6!

BTW, Skolnitsky who I mentioned in the previous post was picked up by the Colts. Will be one of 6 ex JMU in summer camps in July (along with Starting LB for Eagles Akeem Jordan, draftees Moats & McGee, PFA signees Brooks and Caussin. I know there will be at least a couple of schools with more, but this is probably the most JMU will ever have had in summer camps. Of course maybe only 3-5 of those 6 will be on opening day rosters, we'll see.
