Is Washington Grizzly still in contention? I know Frisco. was trying to host as well, that's the last I heard.. I guess all options are on the table still- other than those and Chatty was anybody else bidding?

Hard to say, Indianapolis doesn't observe daylight savings time. Nobody actually knows what time it is there.

As the official NJ FCS Delegate I have flown back to Indy today for the announcement.

I am currently posting from my blackberry and standing outside the deliberation room with my ear in a glass pressed against the door.

I'll be sure to pass along the news as soon as I know the latest.

I don't know if this is definite yet, but sounds like Frisco might have landed it. Don't kill the messenger....

Now it's a shorter flight for you to watch two teams other than your own play for the NC. ;)

INDIANAPOLIS--- Frisco, Texas, has been selected as the new host site for the NCAA Division I Football Championship game. Frisco emerged from a pool of several cities that submitted bids to serve as the host site for the championship game for the next three years, beginning with the 2010 season. Hosted by the Southland Conference, the championship game will be played at Pizza Hut Park on January 7, 2011.

"We are excited about the opportunity for the football championship game to be played in Frisco," said Damani Leech, NCAA director of baseball and football. "With the quality of bids that were submitted, it was not an easy decision to make. But we feel the right decision and right place to serve as the site for the Division I football championship is indeed Frisco."

No question EWU will be watching from the Maxi Pad next year, a place where both my sig teams would decimate the Eagles. Know it.
