Re: 2010 UC Davis Schedule
Traveling to San Diego?
Nice road trip.
Schedule sets up well for the Aggies, athough with only 8 countable FCS games, unless you can run the table on those, hard to get an atlarge.

What's the official classification on South Alabama in terms of FCS playoff consideration?

Re: 2010 UC Davis Schedule
I believe they are eligible immediately like ODU. They aren't a Division I transitional team coming from DII right?AggieFinn wrote:What's the official classification on South Alabama in terms of FCS playoff consideration?

Re: 2010 UC Davis Schedule
I think they are like Lamar - a win against them does not count in the first year.

Is that definitive?dbackjon wrote:I think they are like Lamar - a win against them does not count in the first year.
How did a win against ODU count last year? Or did it?

Re: 2010 UC Davis Schedule
I have been looking for an answer - just remember reading that wins against a first year program didn't count.
Re: 2010 UC Davis Schedule
UND and USD both count from now on.dbackjon wrote:Traveling to San Diego?

I'm pretty sure that's first-year transitional (from DII), not first-year program (already fully DI).dbackjon wrote:I have been looking for an answer - just remember reading that wins against a first year program didn't count.

And of course Weber has a home game on opening Muzzleloader buck just like they have a home game on opening Rifle Elk.

I think NEXT YEAR (2011) is South Alabama's first legitimate year.SloStang wrote:I think this is South Alabama's second year.
They've done this really weird. I think they are building up a program that is fully stocked and played exhibition games last year. I think they have upgraded the competition this year, but do not count as a Div I to delay the start of their APR clock.
