Weber State Dline coach of one season gets hired by brand new Portland State head coach on Dec 16, 2009. On Feb 16, 2010 the same coach gets hired by brand new U of Montana head coach.
Kinda random and interesting.
Like I said on eGriz - you gotta "ball til you fall"
make all the money you can til you can't no moe...

Question:
What if NAU and EWU get new coaches next yr? This guy seems to be a hot commodity.

Sucks for all concerned. Weber & PSU end up with no consistency, and Montana got screwed by BH when he stole their new D-Line coach out from under them two days after he was announced by Pflugrad.
Bunch a' damned gypsies....

I'll take the "UNDER" for an EWU hat, Alex.

How the cr@p is someone who's interviewed for other HC jobs in the last several years a "geek off the street?"
The Griz will still dominate the league. I can only hope that this is the year for the Sacred City Breakthrough, but whether that happens or not, I don't see ANY way for EWU to beat the Griz.

Especially since we'll be playing on the new turf at Washington Grizzly West!

1. Remember what I said about facility upgrades & team performance.
2. Home field advantage.
3. UM coach ditched the team
4. UM's new coach is has yet to prove he can take a bunch of guys w/ average skill to a conf/title.

Average skill eh? I guess the only way to explain 117 wins is we must of had the greatest coaching staff of all time

If you werent an egghead and knew anything about the game.. you'd know that football is a mind and power game. And those Mthrfckrs are strong, & dont give up. Btw, THE MAIN REASON THEY WIN, is bc the team as a whole has the will to win.

You do realize BF that Montana has continued it's winning tradition with 3 (now 4) different coaches? It could be possible for a letdown but the team still wears Montana across their chests which means something.

Since Montana began its current playoff streak (1993), the Griz are 8-1
away against EWU.
The only time EWU beat the Griz away from Wash-Griz was in Spokane, not at Woodward Field.
Yeah, nice advantage -- for UM. Might as well be a home game, especially considering the fact that the Griz will outdraw the Eagles.

1. The Griz wont AND NEVER DO out draw EWU
2. Red Turf = New & Improved HFA
3. I dont care how many coaching changes UM has gone through. Im telling you
UM has had a great run, but the minute Bobby left the Griz jumped the shark baby.-BlackFalkin

Wouldn't your hypothetical reasons still point to the coaching staff...

Wrong. Outdrew them in 2002 in Spokane -- 17,000 plus there, about 10,000 on the Montana side (EWU side had noticeably more empty seats). I was there, and saw it with my own eyes. Unless maybe a few thousand of those wearing maroon were really EWU fans?
UM probably outdrew them in 2004, a game I also attended. Hard to say, but the endzone seats erected specifically to accommodate the throngs of UM fans were full, and the east side had a large contingent of Griz fans as well.

Oh, I have ways of "slicing it" that you can't even imagine...
And I bet $100 Montana finishes above EWU in the Big Sky this year

Yeah, I guess I don't have any confirmed numbers. What was I thinkin'...I should have been canvassing the stands for a fan head count instead of watching the game.

(...which your team won, by the way...I'm amazed you didn't bring that nugget up, you're so good at going off on tangents)
Your team's poor attendance is no reason to get abusive, BF. Hey, you have that lovely red carpet to look forward to that's obviously going to be the deciding factor in all the rest of your home games...don't worry, be happy!
