Old Dominion is about to announce the hiring of the AD from Western Kentucky for the same position.
The interesting tidbit from his profile on the WKU website is this:
"Selig was one of the key figures on campus to help garner the support to move the football program from the NCAA Division I-AA level to I-A, which the school’s Board of Regents voted in favor of on Nov. 2, 2006. Following a two-year transition period that began in the fall of 2007, the Hilltoppers are now the newest of the 120 Football Bowl Subdivision members and are eligible to win the Sun Belt Conference and compete in a post-season bowl game for the first time in 2009."
I guess if the opportunity arises, the school figures they have someone that knows how to get it done.

Good for ODU, it's nice to have a guy that sees the value in football at the very least and the fella will have some real experience to bring to your program.

2011, when you play your inaugural CAA schedule, will your guys have patches that read "JUST PASSING THROUGH"?

Nah, our QB likes to run.
Truthfully, it'll be more like "JUST LIMPING THROUGH" by the end of the season, if the CAA posters are correct about the beatings we'll take at their hands.

Don't believe the hype. I don't think we are going anywhere, especially on our own. The only way we make a move is to go with the herd. But if that opportunity does come up, it's good to know we have a guy that is experienced.

We only go if JMU goes...be it together or following them. Book it.
