One of the mods here has asked me to blog on the site here and I thought I would. Anyone have anything they would be interested in seeing me blog about weekly? I was going to post info on random players such as sleepers, players rising, etc. Anything else?

Teams on the up and coming. Such as a team that had an O-Fer season a couple ago, then a 2 win, then a 5 win...etc...teams on the right track to become playoff contenders.

I was thinking draft related stuff but sure I would be glad to post information along those lines. There are a few teams that I have in mind.

Yeah things like that would be cool to see how certain teams are progressing with their players gaining experience and so forth.
I also love to read about great coaches and their stories. Guys in the vein of Bob Ford and so forth. Interesting to see where they came from, who they learned from, THEIR view of what their biggest wins/losses were and so forth.
Really glad you will be blogging here scff!

SUU could be one if they have a good replacement at QB. Missouri State could be an up and coming team. Illinois State has a good young QB. He will be solid. I have some potential breakout players I will blog on as well.

I'm glad to hear this. I'd love to see your picks for sleeper players or Payton Award candidates.
Articles on teams would be good too.

I will put out an early Payton and Buchanan watch list of candidates here soon. With someone new at TSN though I would not be surprised to see some random selections, if the newly hired person is someone out of college with little FCS knowledge coming in.

Since the draft is your current focus, here's an interesting article from today's Daily Press about W&M's RJ Archer returning to the baseball field. Discussion of his NFL prospects.

The issue of "early commitments" and then changing to another school. Kids today do not understand what "Commitment" means. Personally I think they should do away with it all together. I do understand though that this type stuff sells subscriptions.

I have already posted 2 in the blog. I will hit this topic, RJ Archer, Buchanan candidates, more rising teams, etc. over the next week. Going to hit the topics in the order they are brought up here in this thread.

I would like to know, from the inside of the NCAA, what they are doing to promote the FCS. I would like them to show some support to this level of football and use their platform to show the country that this is not D2 level.

I can tell you right now they won't do anything. The NCAA has never shown that they care and they never will. They don't make big money on smaller schools so they aren't going to pour a lot of promotional dollars in to them. It is sad but true.

The more blogs regarding FCS, the better!
I think it helps us all remain more informed about our subdivision, helps with poll voting and the list goes on. Good luck to you SCFBF.

Thanks. I have already blogged a couple of items. I will only blog on requested stuff. So if you guys don't want to read them I won't do them!
Next on my list is RJ Archer's pro prospects (as well as a couple others at W&M), early commitments, and more payton/buchanan picks. Just give me a request and I will do it.

liberty is up and rising. coach rocco turned the football program completely around. we're looking at a POSSIBLE 11-0 season. worse case scenerio 8-3. but im iffy between a 10-1 or 9-2 this yr. great chance get the big souths first auto bid. if not still a chance at an at-large.
