What the heck is this supposed to mean? (from Bobby Lamb, who ranked last in this list):

Quotable - “We had the faxes in early,” Lamb added. “Once we get our kids committed, it's very unlikely that something happens to them, because we are dealing with a different clientele than most of those other schools. It's always great to get them in early, so we can cruise the rest of the day.”

I think WCU has the right idea by concentrating on defense. El Cid did the same, and I was pretty happy to see it.

Why do they include transfers in their rankings?

WCU's "star recruit" is a transfer QB from UCONN?

all the star recruits WCU musters will not overcome the mental errors that crippled them last season.
gotta give Wagner an A for effort but time will tell if this quick fix approach will yield any more success. WCU band is awesome!!!

Yup... kinda like GSU's vaunted 2008 class with all the three star guys who never stepped foot on campus except to clean toilets or take out garbage. Less than half of that class is still on the team which is a big reason why Hatcher isn't coach at GSU anymore. He went all in on some shaky recruits and transfers and crapped out.

Van Richard Cranium brought in a four star WR, Mike McIntosh, anybody remember him? Thought so...
How about three star LB Tavares Kearney? who couldn't get on the field on special teams. Or three star CB Dewayne Grace? never panned out... the list goes on and on...

The best recruiting classes are filled with good student/atheletes who fit the system they're being recruited for and fill needs for the teams they're going to, not who has the most stars in high school or could cut it at the next level.

It means (1) Furman kids are smarter than ASU kids and (2) I'm a lazy effer that doesn't want to work but half days

It's code for "We can only recruit kids with 4800 SATs, 65 ACTs and 6.5 GPAs."

What it really means is:

That when Furman has another 6-5 year and the Paladins get their butts handed to 'em in Boone (among other places), ol Bobby already has the built in academics excuse. ;)

Nope, WCU's star recruit is an offensive lineman.... Dan Polaski (6-9, 333 lbs.) then Brandon Pechloff a 6-7 pro style QB.

I was referring to the article:
Star - Casey Turner, QB
Transfers aren't recruits.
