This is the schedule released on ISU website and again ISU gets to play 2 FBS teams in one year. The Utah State game will be good it is close to Pocatello. Playing Georgia could end up costing ISU the Sac and EWU games. Last year ISU took a lot of injuries from playing Oklahoma and Arizona State and ISU never recovered.

Sep 04 Montana-Western
Sep 11 at Utah State
Sep 18 at Northern Colorado
Sep 25 Northern Arizona
Oct 02 at Portland State
Oct 09 at Montana
Oct 16 Weber State
Oct 23 Bye
Oct 30 Montana State
Nov 06 at Georgia
Nov 13 Sacramento State
Nov 20 at Eastern Washington

At least you are playing Utah State instead of two BCS-conference schools

Sep 04 Montana-Western (W)
Sep 11 at Utah State (L)

Sep 25 Northern Arizona (L)
Oct 02 at Portland State (L)
Oct 09 at Montana (L)
Oct 16 Weber State (L)
Oct 23 Bye
Oct 30 Montana State (L)
Nov 06 at Georgia (L)
Nov 13 Sacramento State (L)
Nov 20 at Eastern Washington (L)

I smell another 1-10 season for the Bungles. Unfortunately for the Bungles fans, the two games they MIGHT have a chance of winning (UNC & PSU) are both on the road this year.

I am glad that people poke fun at the Bengals and don’t take them serious because it is easer to beat a team when they don’t respect you. I have watched a lot of ISU and Big sky games both at home and on the road. This year ISU will lose 15 seniors and return 40 freshmen, 10 sophomore and 21 juniors. This tells me that for the last three years that Coach Z has started from scratch and has paid more attention to recruiting and rebuilding the program then trying to win. ISU received a $200,000 weight room from Jared Allen that competes with any in the country and is rumored to have helped in recruiting.
After looking at ISU recruits this year they will be ready. Last year was a young team that made lots of beginner’s mistakes. Montana and PSU found out what happens when ISU starts to put things together. ISU recruited speed, 2 backs that run 4.40 and 4.26. Tavoy Moore is probably one of the fastest players in collage football. ISU also got a 6-5 225 jc transfer QB, a couple Hofstra transfers and a lot of kids that normally would have went to Boise but because of there young team did not have the scholarships to offer. Wes Howard a 6-2 225 full back from Pocatello High is being compared to Merrill Hoge. I think that Coach Z is going to surprise everyone. I think ISU will probably win 5-6 games. For the last two years ISU is one of the only teams in the big sky that has threatened or slowed down Montana. Montana and the rest of the Big Sky should make sure to not look past ISU because if they do they are going to get stuffed.

While no one should look past anyone in the conference, I think ISU has replaced UNC as the conference doormat. PS - UNC has a brand new weight room and locker room (which will help in recruiting).

While I appreciate your enthusiasm, understand one thing: Most (hell, maybe ALL) Griz fans would love nothing more than to see ISU become at LEAST quasi-competitive again. Unfortunately, the reality is ISU has won FIVE games in 3 years and at one point (prior to their season-ending victory last year) were on a 1-21 skid. Please point out the 5-6 games that ISU will "probably" win in 2010.

November 7, 2009:

Yards of Offense: 492 - Griz, 309 - Bungles
Turnovers: 3 - Griz, 1 - ISU; Griz's turnovers were on three consecutive drives beginnning midway through the 3rd quarter; and the other two fumbles (that we DIDN'T lose) were costly in that we had negative yards on those plays;
Penalties: 12 - Griz, for 129 yards; 10 - ISU, but for only 68 yards

In the past 5 years, ISU has put up 10, 10, 14, 10, and 10 points on the Griz. And three of those 5 were in Pocatello. Griz scored 32, 23, 27, 29 and 12. I will agree on one thing: The Griz definitely overlooked the Bungles last year, and subconciously probably felt all they had to do was lace up the cleats and chalk up a W in the win column.

But it's Phlu season now, my friend....BH teams had a tendency to play DOWN to their level of competition....I don't see that happening any more. Expect at LEAST 35 points against your Bungles this year....if you can score 36, more power to you....but I'm bettin' that $10 that your team won't. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

This is what I see for ISU schedual.

Sep 04 Montana-Western (W)
Sep 11 at Utah State (L) 1-2 against USU
Sep 18 at Northern Colorado (=)
Sep 25 Northern Arizona (=)
Oct 02 at Portland State (W)
Oct 09 at Montana would love the (W) but most likely a (L)
Oct 16 Weber State (W)
Oct 23 Bye
Oct 30 Montana State (=) probably a (L)
Nov 06 at Georgia (L) hardest game in the BIG SKY
Nov 13 Sacramento State (W)
Nov 20 at Eastern Washington (L)

= games that are in play

These are the games that ISU should win the = are games that are up for grab’s. Last year ISU jumped out to a lead against Weber and blew it with beginner mistakes Weber is @ ISU this year. ISU plays good against Montana teams in the dome so that is why the MSU game is a =. Northern Arizona is temperamental and ISU has played well but pleged by mistakes. I have seen a lot of the mistakes that ISU makes and in the last part of the season those mistakes were not present. Also ISU played a horrific schedule last year and had several bad injuries do to playing g pac-10 and BIG 12 teams. I do still think that a W is possible against the GRIZZ and will back the $10 because unless I am off with the army I will be at the game.

Well, I won't be at the game, but they have APO's on the Army bases.

FYI 8 of their 11 games are the same (you know those 8 they went 1-7 against?) and then add in Utah State and Georgia and it don't look good.

But keep up the enthusiasm. Hope springs eternal.

I think coach Z is in the same situation that Wulff is at WSU. As mentioned, it's not rebuilding it's starting over from scratch. With a heavy junior class and a bunch of underclassmen seeing playing time, this year will be an improvement and next year should be really interesting. Good luck Sapper. :thumb:

No CM thinks that ISU will beat the "directional Montana School" and the University of Montana.

He knows better. You obviously don't. :coffee: :coffee:

The sad part is, if those WERE the only two teams you beat, you guys would tear down the fucking goal posts.

There is absolutely no way the bungals win even one--there is not one junior high team scheduled.

Welcome to the board Sapper! Glad to see some more posters on here. Judging from what i saw last year the Bengals did struggle early and often against most teams but completely went nuts the last two games of the season and should have beat Montana and soundly beat PSU. If you guys can continue that trend i think it would be great but being somewhat realistic at the same time, i think you guys can do better then most people are giving you credit for:

-Sep 04 Montana-Western: W-NAIA school, need i say more?

-Sep 11 at Utah State: L-My T-Birds played very well against these guys last year but i still a L for the Bengals.

-Sep 18 at Northern Colorado: W-Im going to go with the Bengals as i honestly think that Downing needs to go

-Sep 25 Northern Arizona : L-NAU is a very inconsistent team but they are consistent in the fact they blow it at the end of the season not the beginning so i give them the nod.

-Oct 02 at Portland State: ?-I only say this because i really am a fan of Nigel Burton and the Pistol offense he is installing at PSU and the fact your on the road leaves this game up in the air for me.

-Oct 09 at Montana: L-I think last years big scare will keep Montana awake, i dont think they will underestimate you for a few years.

-Oct 16 Weber State: W-Higgins is very erratic and honestly i think you guys have the potential to finally get a win in this rivalry game (also because Weber backed out on us again!)

-Oct 23 Bye:

-Oct 30 Montana State: L-The Bobcats are returning a team that should make a run if not win the Big Sky Championship this year so they are getting the nod.

-Nov 06 at Georgia: L-Maybe Georgia will be nice and play their second string the entire game...

-Nov 13 Sacramento State: ?-I only say this because the last time the Hornets went to Pocatello they lost and i think the Bengals could win if they arent to decimated by injuries. The same goes for Sac State, to close to call

-Nov 20 at Eastern Washington: L-The allure of the red field will have worn off by then so the Eagles will be distracted by one less thing when they play you guys, also they will be super pissed off they just got whooped by SUU :thumb:

Overall:
3-6 w/ two possible either ways, not much of an improvement but still progress none the less :thumb:
