Thanks to the return of the 9 game mandate

Southern's schedule is pretty lackluster to me.

What is the general thought to whom the MEAC participant will be?
Surprised that with the flexibility of two weeks between the SWAC-MEAC Challenge and the start of conference play, that SU decided to go with Ark-Monticello. Figured if you guys wanted a Div II game at home, it'd at least be an HBCU...

Every conference should be required to play all other teams in football.

How are you going to do that with conferences getting larger? Seems the trend is to grow the leagues out. I think you can do a nice schedule without having to play everyone once you hit 10 teams.
In the SLC - if we hit 10 - you play your divisional foes and then a guaranteed inter-divisional rival. The other three opponents rotate in/out of the schedule.

I don't like big conferences.

Neither do I, but unfortunately - it is the business model now in collegiate athletics. Don't be surprised if all the major FBS conferences increase their membership to 12 in order to secure a conference title game opportunity.
Other conferences will also follow suit - since we all follow the 'big boys', eh?

Generally thought to be Delaware St. As of now, the available teams for the MEAC-SWAC are:
Bethune Cookman
Delaware St
Howard
Morgan St
NC Central
I'll try and dig up the source I used that indicated the Hornets were the choice, though.

It's still believed to be Delaware State. Which would make for an interesting match up.

Yeah Delaware State makes the most sense. Being that Miami took away our regular matchup with FAMU on the 4th.

I know a lot of people are excited for the Orlando trip. I hope the turn out is good.

Not from our end...
I'm gonna try to make the trip. I was planning on attending the FBS game we have this year...but being that the schedule for us (STILL

) isn't available yet, I just may choose this one instead (pertaining that we are actually participating in the game). Can't go wrong with Orlando in early September.
