Why, we have depth now. This is Sperbecks fourth year and last year's class was ranked #2 in FCS by Rivals, if that means anything. We should be ready to start making some runs.
I highly recommend going the HS route and adding depth and cohesion. We will probably pick up some JC's later in the year. Our Oline is going to average 6'7", just massive.

Uh, I don't know where this list came from, but while Delta is a JC, unlike Modesto Junior College, "Junior" is not in the name. The school is simply known as San Joaquin Delta College, or Delta for short.

It came from Hornetsports.com...its naming convention to use "JC".

I agree with GCM, unless there are holes that need to be filled immediately, I favor the HS route. I like that Sperbeck and Co have primarily targeted HS recruits with this class. Sperbeck did rely heavily on JC recruits when he first arrived, but now that he has been at Sac for a few years, he is steadily increasing the HS players in recruit classes.
I like this years recruit class that Sperbeck and Co landed.

Are you kidding me? Sac state has A HUGE oline every year, with NO SKILL PLAYERS. Sac State needs a big tough RB, California has THOUSANDS of great 30 rush/game backs. They also need a 6'3 or taller QB, not that 5'10 idiot who cant even throw. OMFG I can go on guy. Are you fcking blind?

Are
you kidding me? Bryan Hilliard (5'11 215, 1082yds in 10 games, 4.6ave in 10 games in 2008)will be returning after sitting out last season with sholder surgery. We also have a talented group of smaller speed backs and some very good receivers returning. We also picked up Ronald Douglas who rushed for over 2,600 yards last HS season. At qb it looks like McLeod Bethel-Thompson (6' 4" 215) who led the comeback win over davis last year. We also picked up a jc transfer, Pete Murdaca 6'1" 220 qb and also have a 6'1" redshirt freshman qb. I also expect Coach Sperbeck to add some more players before the season. Thanks for your concern, the Hornets will be just fine in 2010 and continue their climb up the BSC standings!

Are you saying that a dude can't throw because he's 5'10" or just that he can't throw? I've never bought into the height argument, BF. Some of the best QBs in history have been south of 6', and some of the worst have been around 6'5". Don't stereotype based on height. It's the OL's job to create passing lanes. Let them do their job and leave the QB's height out of it.

EWU has had some good teams but refresh my memory how many BSC Football titles do you have?
And all of those "good teams" that you have fielded, why is ther no support for your program?
You make it to the playoffs and draw only an average of 5,366 per game, 75th in the FCS, one notch below Idaho State? A look at your board and there has not even been any football posts since Oct 24, no wonder people were talking about EWU dropping football.
By comparison Sac State's attendance was 9,935 per game in 09, 32nd in the FCS and growing every year.
I wish EWU well but you should really focus on your own recruiting it seems that Montana pretty much picks over your area.

Yes, please explain why game attendance is so terrible at EWU. I'm sorry the EWU recruiting class isnt anything to brag about, but on't take it out on Sac State. It's not Sac States fault EWU loses their kids to the likes of Montana.
And 32nd second place is certainly nothing to brag about, but it's a helluva lot better than 75th!

That program can R.I.P. Rest in Piss. Sitting in the middle of a recruiting GOLDMINE & still cant win a conf title. GTF outta here. Goeags.com
The ags are mediocre competition at best, they would be sellar dwellers in the BSC, so get off the bandwagon that Montana fans created by saying that ucd was quality competition.

When you guys played the Aggies this year you guys did get very lucky scoring 21 points in the 4th quarter to survive so i think the term "mediocre" competition is a major understatement

They also were able to beat Cal Poly, how did you guys fare against the Mustangs?

The 21 points in the 4th quarter just goes to show how crappy their defense was, luck had nothing to do with it. You werent there, Sac State unquestionably DOMINATED ucd in the 4th!
The Cal Poly team Davis played and Sac State played were two completely different teams, when Sac State played Poly they werent descimated by injuries, they were when the manure pile played them! They had all of their starters.
