Schedule also lists DII American International as our opponent. Very disheartened that we couldn't find a D1 substitute, but glad we have 5 home games again. Loved the fact that we always pushed D1. Losing Hofstra and the pending reorg of the CAA must've made things more difficult than we know.
SBU took in a VERY strong NY class, with good components from Florida, Texas, New Jersey, and California. Very happy with the variety and level of the recruits.
Thoughts?

ouch - the AIU game sucks for sure.
Good class for SBU. The Texas contingent is nice and SBU cleaned up on the Island which was expected.

Thanks. Would have been fantastic had Hofstra not folded

Looks like CCSU will have a D-II opponent as well. Very dissapointed that Central and Stony Brook couldn't work out a game this year. The problem is that BOTH teams need a HOME game.
It was just reported that CCSU's game with New Hampshire was moved from 9/11 to 9/4. I think that means Central is going to host a NE-10 opponent, Bentley, on 9/11.
Instead of SBU-AIC and CCSU-Bentley on Sept. 11, we should play each other!

Yeah - you couldn't work it out for a home-and-home? Crazy.
EDIT: How can the UNH game be moved? UNH is scheduled to be at Pitt on 9/4.

Except your recruiting class wouldn't have been half as good if Hofstra was still around.

ESPN asked to move the Pitt/UNH game to 9/11.

Second that motion. Oh well its home and will be a win. Also a nice break the week after taking on Big East South Florida.

If you include transfers, this is clearly true. I can't wait to see what they can do for us. As far as freshman recruits, perhaps we'd have just recruited a bit more heavily in NJ and PA?

Video of all our recruits.
Go to 4:06 in the video and check out Jevahn Cruz, a QB/DB SBU recruited. Priore mentioned he'd be used on returns. I've never seen the moves this guy pulled in his video.
Overall some very, very fast and talented players. SBU did a solid job of finally locking up LI and taking in some very good talent nationally.
What redshirts do we have starting their 4 years this Fall?
