I assume he wanted to play close to Dad?

Good pick up, and as the slobbering over Brandon Fisher in Montana showed, a great source of national media exposure.

Cal Poly seems to be picking up some nice transfers. Slo, do you know how/why this is happening?

Note that Montana also has John Stockton's son. He's a safety. John keeps a very low profile at games. He's been known to play a bit of pick-up basketball with the coaches and noon ball regulars. Jeff Fisher also seemed to keep a fairly low profile at the occasional regular season games he attended. Nice guy. The Fishers have had a vacation house in Montana for many years.

They have to travel to Old Dominion in 2010. They don't want to be embarrassed in front of 19,000+ spectators.

So far we've got verbals from four two star athletes, and one five star kicker!

Two star athletes who have verballed:

RB/KR Mark Rodgers - West Virginia
DE Matt Singletary - Baylor
DB/RB Dave Douglas
RB/DB/KR K.J. Cusack

five star kicker: James Langford - was offered a 'prefered walk-on' at Stanford (non-scholarship).

The reason Cal Poly is getting pretty good recruits and transfers would have to do with the great gameday atmosphere and good stadium location, palm tree lined streets, and great views. 2. Cal Poly is one of the top aerospace, mechanical engineering and agricultural schools in the country, and the business school is gaining more clout as well. 3. Cal Poly is close enough to drive from the Bay Area, or L.A.

Coach Walsh. He also picked up a lot of FBS transfers while he was at PSU. He is a very good recruiter and I think he tells the kids he miss out on that if things do not work out at the FBS school, give him a call.

Pismo Beach is only minutes away from campus and the female student body has always been, shall we say above average.
