Welcome kd! What are the thoughts at VMI about the 2010 offense?

A very balanced but tough schedule for the Keydets playing a good CAA team in William Mary, FBS Virginia and Army and upstart Old Dominion. However i believe this is a very good schedule in sense of traveling as 7 of their games are either home or in the State of Virginia :twocents:

And in regards to their offense i think that Sparky woods may keep some forms of the option there much like Air Force who runs some spread a basic I along with their TO attack, that would be best :thumb:

How are Keydet fans expecting Sparky to do this year? Is this going to be his third year now at the helm?

First, glad to be here after AGS hit the iceberg.

Sparky is beginning his third season at VMI. He ran the triple mainly because of the personnel and staff Jim Reid had assembled. He is ultra-confident his "new" offense can work. From what I have heard (2nd hand), it may be both shotgun and QB under center, I-backs, or offset I-backs, or 3 wides/one TE, or shotgun w/2 HB's and 3 wides. One player's father told me it appears it could be (it COULD be) a mix of Alabama's and the Colts' offenses. I'll know more after I see a scrimmage or two in April. ;)
