JMU ANNOUNCES 2010 FOOTBALL SCHEDULE

JMU gets screwed by not getting to play the weakest CAA team, URI. The schedule, while very tough, does have Liberty, UD, UNH, UMass, and W&M at home, with Nova, UR and Maine on the road.

It's always a good thing to have Morehead.

Bring your cold weather gear up to Orono. That was one of the benefits of Maine-UNH in that last week, neither the Bears nor the Cats will mind 15 degrees with snow.

Glad to be here. You may want to post a link on the AE basketball board, I don't know how many other fans have figured out this is the new "spot" for FCS football.

Good suggestion.

You know if JMU were in Florida or Georgia I would say the cold could be a problem. But, cold weather games happen in the Valley in early November and in the playoffs. I saw JMU play in 20 degree weather versus Wofford. I think they can handle the Orono weather. But, it is something to keep in mind when the game comes rolling around.
You know I have an aunt who lives in Bangor. Maybe I should visit next November to see the game. Could be fun!

Uhhh, not exactly true with respect to UNH.
Last Dec, we played them on a snow covered field on the Main line, and you would'a thunk they had the advantage, being from NH and all, and Nova not having any fans
But such was not the case as UNH was at a vast disadvantage being forced to run the ball. Something not easily done against the Champs

It's only the "new" spot to those of you a little "slow" on the uptake. Everybody who's anybody has been here for 2+ years.

Apparently those years in Maine froze your brainstem.

With the way UNH played that day, you wonder if they would've beaten anyone. Never saw a team so trip all over themselves just because of the weather. Maybe the QB being from CA played a part?

Bangor? I didn't even know her!
(Just kicking the tires on the new board)

I see having UNH at home instead of URI is not a big deal. Usually good vs. UNH.

Come on. Mike Barber of the Daily News Record initially reported from his Twitter page that JMU wouldn't be facing UNH. If that had been the case, then I'm sure URI would have been the homecoming opponent instead.
Yeah JMU has UNH at home, BUT:
-URI 1-10/0-8 last season, will be the worst team in the CAA again, and @ JMU would be almost patsy/guaranteed win status.
-I think UNH, who loses 11 of 22 starters from their playoff game at Nova, will be FAR better than URI , and while I'm confident JMU will win at home on HC, could possibly be caught looking ahead the week before what could be a big showdown @ Nova. JMU could get away with their C game @ home vs URI. Not vs UNH.
I would MUCH rather JMU had URI @ home than UNH.

Agreed. But I think we should win both games regardless.
