I'm not questioning whether he announced or not, but don't be surprised if he has a great baseball season and ends up a top 10 round pick in the June MLB draft.

Faced with $$$$$$$$$$$$ or FCS football........................

Professional baseball...where all money is guaranteed, even in entry level contracts.

By the way, this dude is a stud, and I hope the Griz get the shot at a rematch next season.

good for Szczur, I am sure he made the best decision for him. Now that the Griz have Breske back, I hope Montana gets another chance at Nova...

You may know more about his baseball talent then any of us. What do you think the possibility is that he changes his mind because of a relatively high draft position in June?

I don't think he would say that he's coming back if he didn't mean it.. He's on the record as saying that he likes football better.

I gotta believe that he put a lot of thought into it before he made the statement. This is an assumption on my part and I have zero inside knowledge, but I am betting he had discussions with baseball scouts and based on where they told him he would go in the draft, he made the decision to stick with football. Now, nothing would keep him from being drafted and I would assume if he gets the right offer, he'd change his mind. But, I think he has no intention of leaving school at this time. He comes off as way too smart to just run his mouth without having done a lot of talking to people in baseball.

Now that's funny. :thumb: Unfortunately, it looks like the joke's going to be on the rest of the CAA.
